Imbalance in energy production and consumption by some developing countries contribute to their low economic development. In this article, a new Bioenergy Acceptance Model with six constructs and 52 items was tested using The Gambia as a case study. The uncorrelated factors in each construct were extracted through Principal Component Analysis. These were tested for relationship with the respondents’ demographic variables such as age, gender, religion, level of education, and institution using Pearson’s Chi-square. Eleven (11) main factors influencing the use of non-food agricultural biomass for bioenergy generation were identified. These were tagged as feedstock, technological, social, institutional, deciding, motivating, environmental, crosscutting, comparative, economic, and inducing. Many key stakeholders are involved in The Gambian energy sector but some differ in terms of their key roles. Significant relationship (p<0.05) between stakeholders’ gender and social factors and also between stakeholders’ age groups and factors such as technology and relativity was observed. There was no significant relationship (p>0.05) among all the identified factors and stakeholders’ institutions categorized as Government and public sectors, private sectors, university and research institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, farmers and rural dwellers. There are diverse opinions among the stakeholders concerning the use of non-food agricultural biomass for renewable energy generation. Information generated in this study is relevant for developing countries in terms of formulating evidence-based policies and projects on bioenergy.
The main of state income from non-oil sector is tax revenues. To increase tax revenues, the government made changes to the non-taxable income. Purpose of this study was to determine the increase or decrease in tax revenue at Kanwil DJP Wajib Pajak Besar after the enactment of non-taxable income increases. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis. Any tax revenues will be processed the data mathematically, and compared from year to year. The results of this study is the tax revenue, especially income tax Kanwil DJP Wajib Pajak Besar have increased significantly since 2006 until 2009.

The hypothesis of this article is that academics in the field of Public Administration academics are focusing primarily on practice-oriented applied research and are not enhancing knowledge development. There has not been the same development of a cumulative and meaningful knowledge base in the discipline that there has been in the other social sciences. Theory development is weak. An empirical database was developed to test this hypothesis. An analysis was undertaken of the two main South African Public Administration journals, the Journal of Public Administration (JOPA) and Administratio Publica (AP), from 1994-2006, to establish the state of academic research in the field. A database of 383 articles was compiled, including 28 articles from JOPA and 105 from AP. The methodology used was a content analysis, consisting of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. By triangulating findings from the six main analytical variables (research topic, research purpose, research methodology, research focus, research cumulativeness and institutional funding), it was concluded that there has been little theory development in South African Public Administration. There has also not been the development of a cumulative and meaningful knowledge base in the discipline. There are a number of reasons for this, which are discussed below. The article concludes by suggesting ways to improve the quality of research in Public Administration academia.

Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) are highly exposed to mental health problems. Low mental health literacy is one of the barriers in accessing mental health services provided, leaving mental health problems untreated, yet mental health literacy among parents of children with ASC is poorly understood. This conceptual paper of the ongoing study aims to emphasize the significance of understanding the mental health literacy concept within the specific population. Findings will be able to highlight the implications of mental health literacy among parents of children with ASC and will also provide further opportunities to explore the literature gap. Aim of this study was to investigate the students' understanding towards science concept especially on "The Basic Concept of Matter in Physical Phenomenon" and metacognitive strategies of the student during the development of their concept. The study was carried out in two major stages i.e Phase I and Phase II. The first phase of the study involved the investigation of students' initial understanding while in the second phase involved the study of metacognitive strategies of the student during the development of science concept. A set of comprehension test was used as the instrument to gather information on the students' initial understandings. One-hundred-and-eighty-two (N=182) randomly selected students served as the subjects of this study. Retrospective interviews were conducted on fifteen-students in order to examine their practices of metacognitive strategies in mastering the concept. Data were analyzed using content analysis technique. The findings of Phase I revealed that the students' understandings and their practices of strategies in mastering "The Basic Concept of Matter in Physical Phenomenon" were low. These were referred to existence of various alternative frameworks as well as weaknesses on planning, implementation and self-reflection at the three levels of thinking. This study also suggested The Model of Generative-Metacognitive in assisting students to overcome their alternative frameworks and increase their metacognitive strategies at the three levels of thinking. The findings of this research were hoped to highlight the implication as to increase the effectiveness of teaching and learning process in science and shed come lights on the formulation of authentic curriculum.
