This is a bibliometric mapping of studies conducted on medical translation in Brazil. The primary objective is to map master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral studies from 2002 to 2018, identifying the topics covered, the institutions, and the geographic regions in which they were carried out. The significance of the present study lies in the fact that it indicates regions and institutions, where research on medical translation is conducted, and reveals the regions in which this type of study is scarce. In both cases, the mapping can serve as a reference for researchers who are interested in this area of knowledge. In addition, the mapping can offer input for the implementation of public policies that encourage the development of studies in the area. Converging evidence has identified phonemic awareness (PA) as one of five essential components of beginning reading instruction. Evidence suggests that many teachers do not have the recommended knowledge or skills sufficient to provide effective PA instruction within the context of scientifically validated reading education. This study examines the knowledge of PA instruction of 223 first-year teachers initially certified in special education, early childhood education, and elementary education. Results indicate that significant numbers of beginning special and general education teachers in this sample appear to be inadequately prepared with respect to PA instruction. They have limited knowledge of PA, confuse PA with phonics, are generally unable to select taskappropriate materials or activities, and lack skill in analyzing written words into phonemes. Special educators did not have significantly more knowledge or skills than their general education counterparts. These findings suggest that university teacher education programs may not be providing future teachers with sufficient content or practice with respect to PA instruction.

Buddhism is one of the revelations recognised by the Bahá’í Faith as being divine in origin and, therefore, part of humankind’s heritage of guidance from God. Especially because of the charismatic leader of Tibetan Prasangika Buddhism, the Dalai Lama, Buddhism has achieved global prominence both for its spiritual wisdom as well as for its part in the struggle for an independent Tibet. Thus, for Bahá’ís there are four reasons to seek a deeper knowledge of Buddhism. In the manufacturing process, a design is the first step where most of the important decisions are made which affect the final cost of the product. The main emphasis is given to obtain an optimum design solution for an existing product. It has been already proven fact that a large percentage of the product cost is due to the complex manufacturing and assembly process. DFMA can be used as an early cost estimation technique. And there are no boundaries to the application of the DFMA principles. One can use DFMA throughout any type of organization/enterprise/industry. It can also be used in case of multidisciplinary tasks, supply chain management, activities based on manufacturing and assembly or the architectural design choices of any product development and manufacturing. This paper reviews on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles and its applications for early cost estimation and reduction techniques.
