MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar Contest: Innovation Master

Hey my lovely friends! I am back with my last entry to the MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar Contest. This is my take on the Innovation Master category. I had such fun creating this! As always when creating with my beloved MFT supplies :)

This project requires some more photos, so here we go:

I created a matchbox pop-up card. The base was trimmed from white cardstock, I first designed it on a piece of paper, thought about the measurements I wanted to have and used a scoring board for making this. Before assembling the box, I inked the pieces with Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink. For the panel on the front of my box, I used the Micro Cloud Edges Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. The grass is die-cut using the Outside the Box Grass Die-namics. The images from BB Adorable Adventures are all colored with Copic markers and fussy-cut.

On the inside, I used the same grass die-namics and just trimmed off the edges. To the backs of the grass edges, I adhered folded strips from thick acetate to make the edges move when opening and closing the box.

This fun little girl makes me smile! Here comes a compilation of the card:

And I made a video to show this in action:

I hope you like my fun matchbox card! Thank you so much for visiting and have a beautiful day/weekend!

Cute Lawn Fawn Pop-up Box Baby Card

Happy weekend, fellow crafters! Our piano teacher became father of a sweet girl, so I had an excuse to make a cute baby card :) I played with my Lawn Fawn supplies to make a card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge "What's the Weather".

I wanted to use happy rainbow colors, so this is what I came up with:

I first colored watercolor paper with various Distress Inks mixed with water to create the rainbow. Then I die-cut the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up and the rectangles from it and assembled the box.

I stamped the images from Hello Baby,  Gleeful Gardens and Little Bundle onto white cardstock, colored everything with Copics, die-cut the elements with the matching dies and adhered them to the card. Finally, I die-cut the baby's name from watercolored paper with Cole's ABCs and adhered it to the front flap.

On this pic, you can see that I applied glitter to some images:

I so enjoyed creating this for a new little bundle! The best reason to make a card :)

Thank you for stopping by today!

Birthday Party Pop-Up Box

Hello! I've had many more colored stamp images from the Hello Bluebird set Moose and Friends lying around, and today I got the chance to put them onto a card. I chose to make a cute pop-up box card with them:

All images were colored with Copics. The background and the green parts were inked with Distress Oxides and an ink blending tool

I'll enter this to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes. You'll find a video of the box on my instagram account!

Have a wonderful day!

Yeti Shadowbox

Happy Monday! This weekend, I had prescribed myself a much needed coloring therapy session. I colored the cute MFT yetis and made a fun shadowbox card with them. Is a yeti an animal? I hope they count, because I'd like to enter this to the current SSS Wednesday Challenge Animal Antics!

Here is my card:

I created the shadowbox from blue cardstock. The images were colored with Copics and die-cut with the matching dies.
Here is a view from above:

I added several snow drifts for more dimension.

I designed the box to be the same size as a normal card when it's folded flat to fit an envelope:

If you'd like to see the card in action, check my instagram account, I'll post a video of it there!

Thanks for visiting!

Birthdaycard Surprise Box

Hello! I've been working on a fun little project for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest: Innovation Master. It's been a lot of work, but I loved creating this:

I enjoyed adding all the details and had plenty more ideas on what else to add, but I didn't want to overstuff it! The box was made with a simple score board and I constructed the little hut with it, too. But let's start at the beginning !

This is what the recipient will see first:

After I had constructed the box and its lid, I thought it would be nice to add a shaker window to the top for a bit of action before opening the box to find the surprise inside.

I filled the shaker with sequins, die-cut hearts and a stamped and die-cut bone. The sides of the lid are covered with die-cut patterned paper rectangles.

Then, when taking off the lid, this cute little scene unfolds itself:

I covered the standing walls with blue cardstock, die-cut a white fence and grassy borders and adhered them. I constructed the little hut, die-cut the windows and the door, and stamped the paw print. After I had adhered the hut, I stamped all the images, colored them with Copics, die-cut them with the matching dies and arranged the scene.

The banner was created with a straw and fabric tape:

The tiny boxes were difficult to fold in such a small scale, but I think the 3D presents add so much fun to the scene:

The guests are arriving already, so let's paw-ty!!

I hope you like my project! All the stamps, dies and patterned paper are from My Favorite Things. I'll try to list all the sets I used below. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Cute Matchbox Valentines

Hi! Today I have a cute idea for Valentine's Day to share. I made these matchbox valentines for my loved ones this year:

I used various MFT stamp sets for these. They were perfect for this purpose, because some have split sentiments to use parts on the outside and the rest on the inside of the boxes.
Here comes a better look at them:

All images were colored with Copics. I am going to fill some small sweets into the boxes. They were so fun to make, maybe I need to make more of these for birthdays in the future.

I will enter this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Cute". They just fit! Thank you for stopping by!
