Hôtel de Ville, Lyon (Weekend Reflections # 399)
Lyon, France
This is Lyon's city hall building reflected in a shop window in Place des Terreaux. The shop was closed as you might have guessed because of the gate pulled down behind the glass. Lyon is a fun and beautiful city. I'd love to go back someday.
Happy Reflecting!

City Hall Reflection (Weekend Reflections # 306)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Philadelphia's City Hall building reflected in a window of another building. Actually, this is just the top part of the building. It's not easy to get more than that without a wide angle lens. The Philadelphia City Hall Building used to be the tallest habitable building in the world (1894-1908).
Yes, this is a reflection. Look on the right side and you will see two recessed lighting circles and the ceiling lines inside of the building. :-)

Buildings, Clouds and Sky Reflected. (Weekend Reflections # 254)

From this angle this building reminds me of a giant net that is capturing the reflections of other buildings. :-)

Paris Façade (Weekend Reflections # 202)
Paris, France (Rue Saint-Roch)
A Paris façade reflected in a window across the street. If you look closely you can see the old wooden beams inside of the building blending with the reflection.
If you look even closer and use your imagination you might see fellow blogger and Paris lover Virginia Jones looking out of one of the windows. Remember, you have to use lots of imagination. ;-)
Bon Week-end!

Fountain Place (Weekend Reflections # 157)
Dallas, Texas
This is a clothing store window reflection of the top floors of two skyscrapers and a bare tree. The Fountain Place Building in the center was my focus. Have you ever seen a building with such sharp angles? It looks like it could pierce a hole in the sky. I'm definitely going to go back and try to capture some reflections on the building itself.
This unique skyscraper was designed by I.M. Pei and Partners.

Balboa Pavilion at Night (Weekend Reflections # 97)
Newport Beach, California (Balboa Peninsula)
Hello everybody! I hope you didn't have problems finding my new web address. I'm sorry if the change caused any confusion or trouble. Please update your badges and bookmarks with the new web address http://weekendreflection.blogspot.com/ thanks!
This is a nighttime view of Balboa Peninsula. I took the photo from Balboa Island. The building with all the lights is The Balboa Pavilion, it's over a hundred years old and that's ancient by Orange County standards. :) I also took a picture of this building's reflection in the window on the island side of the water. I'm posting it at Something Sighted and linking it here.

Robertson Hall (Weekend Reflections # 88)
Princeton University (Robertson Hall)
Princeton is great place to explore day or night and I'm going to miss going there. The university was established in 1746 and has an amazing history.
If all is going according to plan I should be in Santa Fe New Mexico taking lots of pictures when this posts.

Cira Centre Sunset (Weekend Reflections # 84)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Cira Center is one of my favorite buildings in Philadelphia. I was rushing to get to the other side to capture the best lighting when I saw the sun shining right through the building and some golden reflections of other buildings. I ended up taking some night shots too which I'll post on a later date.
I won't be blogging very much this weekend but I'll try to check in and take care of Linky problems. Just Three weeks until I leave Pennsylvania for California. It's getting hectic but It's pretty exciting too.

Stuck in the Middle (Weekend Reflections #68)
This might be the first time that I've posted two photos for Weekend Reflections. I like the bottom crop best but I wanted to show all of Philadelphia's unique city hall. If you enlarge the top photo you might be able to see the huge statue of William Penn on top of the City Hall. The City Hall was designed to be the tallest building in the world but by the time it was completed it was already surpassed by the Washington Monument and the Eiffel Tower, However it was the Tallest inhabitable building in the world until 1908.
A few people have asked me for night photo tips.
Tip #1 use a tripod! I'll follow up with lots more tips as I'm able to figure them out and put them together.
