T... more Articulated robots possess rotary joints enabling them to mimic the complex emotion of animals. They are defined by their compliance which permits continuous and responsive localized deformation. Features of articulated robot make them applicable for integration with human tissues to advance complex movements. According to Bagherifard, Locati, Nawaz, Monti, Singh & Guagliano, (2020), advances in soft materials in designing articulated robots has enhanced robots with sophisticated abilities such as complex 3D movements. Advanced 3D movements have a pivotal role in reshaping Cold spray additive manufacturing. Articulated robots are composed of easily deformable matter such as fluids and gels that match elastic properties of tissue organs. The shifting paradigm in engineering could revolutionize the role of robotics in 3D printing. Articulated robots are powered by electric motors. Among other sectors, articulated robots are used in bakeries to palletize foods, manufacture steel bridges, cutting steel, spot welding, and the heat resistant applicable in automation and handling of flat glass. The robots are efficient in the operations within the respective sectors of the world economy. The dynamicity of technology necessitates new inventions with the aim of improving operations within a given sector. Integration of articulated robots with 3D printing will enhance Cold spray additive manufacturing sector. Innovation of additive manufacturing technologies necessitated the need for faster processing of products under flexible operating conditions. This proposal highlights the advantages and limitations of integrating articulated robots with 3D printing. It reviews the data need and how it is obtained, research method, specific treatment of each sub-problem. The proposal outlines steps to be taken and the timeline. The purpose of this proposal is to provide a framework for conducting a research on the advantages of using articulated robots in 3D printing.
