A random sampling technique was used to select 341 DLs to whom to distribute a questionnaire; there was a response rate of 86.2%. Four research questions were answered by the study. The findings of the study revealed that most respondents agreed that the library offered DLs support services, but that they did not include document delivery, borrowing and internet services. The findings also revealed that just over half of the respondents considered the level of accessibility of library support services to be good. However, the study found that the level of satisfaction with library support services was low. Geographical isolation, poor internet connectivity, difficulty in borrowing from the library, among other factors, affected the use of library services. The study concluded that the LAUTECH library provided library services to DLs, but they were inadequate. Based on the findings, the study recommends that library management should facilitate the borrowing of books to DLs through reciprocal services with other libraries and embrace an empathetic marketing approach to reach DLs.

Background of study: Preservation and conservation of the cultural, social and technical context of our heritage are germane. Purpose: The study examined the preservation and conservation of information resources in selected private university libraries in South-west Nigeria. This study examined the attitude of the students towards computer-based test (CBT) at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. A case study research design was adopted to carry out the study. The sample consists of 2209 undergraduate students selected from seven out of the ten Faculties that made up the university. Data were collected through a computer based test attitudinal survey (CBTAS) and a focus group discussion. The results demonstrated that; generally, respondents have positive attitude towards CBT. More than average of the respondents prefer CBT to paper and pencil test. Respondents also demonstrate strong perception of increase in their learning performance as a result of taking CBT/examination. On the other hand, problems such as shortage of computers, lack of skills, loss of data in the process of writing CBT, slow network and hazard of reading on the screen were identified.

The study investigated user education programmes as correlate of information literacy skills among undergraduates in universities in Osun State, Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of undergraduates from three selected universities in Osun State. Questionnaire was used as data collection instrument. A total of 391 copies of the questionnaire were distributed to the respondents. Out of this number, 371 copies were returned and found usable with a response rate of 93.45%. The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of staff training on the quality of library services in the academic library of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. The research design used was a descriptive research survey method; the data were collected by means of a structured questionnaire designed by the researcher. To achieve the objectives of the study, five (5) research questions were developed. One hundred and seven (107) copies of the questionnaire were answered, returned, and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS Version 21) programs for data analysis. The result of the findings shows that the majority of the respondents 67(62.6%) strongly agreed that staff training programmes improved the quality of service delivery to the clienteles. The findings also show that majority of respondents indicated that off-the-job training programmes do not support by the management simply because the management feel that more hands are needed to man the library and there is no fund to support that kind of training programme. However, 88 (82.2%) respondents strongly agreed that outstanding performance should be adequately rewarded whereas 6 (5.6%) respondents disagreed. The study, therefore, recommends that the management should make provisions for librarians and other library staff to spend time in developed nation's libraries for the purpose of skill acquisition and to be abreast of the latest development in the profession and global best professional practices.
