Terrible airport and experience at…

Terrible airport and experience at Manchester Terminal 1
Beware lack of signs at drop off area at T1 my wife collected me at the drop off area and was issued a £100 fine which we managed to reduce to £60. For a 30 second collection in an area with no other cars - first sign sited at drop off point stating no pickup but by that stage you can’t turn around
I travel extensively and have never come across anything as bad as this money making scheme. Out of touch with the needs of the traveling population let’s hope the modernisation of the hopeless terminal 1 will help but the attitude of staff there needs to change very poor customer service rated 0 on a scale to 10

DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

I cannot stress enough that if you do not want your car damaged do not use manchester airport parking

I booked via their website the Drop&Go service, the claim was it was safe and secure, the drivers are insured and it's convenient.

When I returned from my holiday, I picked up my key, and it was late at night so the car park was very dim so i looked over my car and couldnt see any obvious signs of damage so I left the car park. I did notice when I got in the car that the driving setting had been changed into sports mode which i did think was odd but I left it because there was nobody around, nobody in the lobby and I was tired as everyone is after a day of travelling and I wanted to go home. I'd just like to add that I do not drive my car in sports mode.

The following day when I checked my car properly in day light, I noticed a number of bumps, and scratches on my car. Upon reviewing further, they have completely scratched up the underside of the front - seems they've curbed it. It appears that they have taken my car out, have put it in sports mode and damaged it.

I contacted the customer service line, the number on the website, after 7 times calling and being disconnected, I was connected to someone who said they were manchester airport parking. Once I explained the issue, they advised that they were not in fact manchester airport parkig and I had called the incorrect number. I asked for the correct number and they were unable to provide this. I asked for an email and the claimed that the whole of manchester airport parking do not have an email address. I was then transfered randomly without being told.

I spoke to a man that proceeded to advise me that I need to pay £60 on the phone now and he will fill out a claim form and I will be bank transfered £2000 - this was as ridiculous as it sounds and I clarified what he was saying 3 times and he confirmed this was correct. I, for obvious reasons, did not pay this and was then transfered to a superviser.

I was left on hold for a very long time and during this time I received an incoming call from the same number so I picked up and again they told me I called the wrong number and they were also unable to provide the correct number or email address - I had to go back to work at this point so I gave up.

I've since had an email from 'manchester airport parking' who have told me that the parking service is SUBCONTRACTED and because I left the car park without reporting the damage, they are not liable - they have stuck by this.

They have refused to provide the images of my vehicle that they took on entry of the car park

I'm so angry and frustrated and I hope they get found out as the scammers they are, please do not use this service, it is not worth the hassle. I now have to pay for the damage to be repaired but at this point it's the principle that someone has fully taken advantage out of my trust that they would respect my belongings.

Absolutely disgusting

M+G operators maliciously change car settings in a 1.4 star service

I have used the Meet and Greet (M+G) service at Manchester airport several times over the year. Most of my experiences have been OK, but on several occasions, I have collected my car and found that all sorts of setting shave been changed, without due justification and, in fact, in what I believe is a small-minded and malicious manner.

when I left my car with them, there was 57.5 miles on the trip meter. When I collected it, there was about 59.5, so it had been driven to a car park for not more than a mile each way. During that time, whoever drove my car had changed nearly all of the radio station presents, duplicating several and randomly populating MY CAR's settings with a variety of junk. they had also adjusted all of the seat position settings, turned the temperature settings up to maximum, and according to the onboard trip computer, used an unexplainable amount of fuel during that short 1-mile-each-way drive.

On previous visits to the M+G, I have found that the steering column position had been changed and the air conditioning set to maximum blow at minimum temperature.

I accept that it is necessary for a driver to adjust the mirrors to safely move a car, but given the distance they are moving these cars, I question whether there is any justification to change more than this. There is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION to change the radio station presents, or even the climate settings in the vehicle - This is simply malicious and a very poor reflection on the calibre of people employed by MAG to operate this service. Looking at other reviews on Trustpilot, this seems to be a fairly common experience.

I've had enough. This is MY car. I will not be using the M+G service again.

I booked car parking via airport…

I booked car parking via airport website and then realised i had booked wrong terminal, rang customer services straight away who basically said it was my mistake and tough.... They would not transfer my parking to the right terminal so okay i had to walk from T2 to T3 it wasn't the end of the world but what a way for a multi million pound operation to treat its customers. !

Car seat pulled off runner and all controls moved?

Collected my car 3/10/24 from Drop and Go to find a BMW had been parked so close that it was difficult to get into the drivers door, Then to find drivers seat moved so far back that it had been pulled off it's runners. (I am 6'2" and don't need to move the seat back HOW TALL IS THERE DRIVER.
All other controls played with like seat height and staring wheel settings, so had to stop at local serveries and repair seat and reset all other settings.
It is advertised that your car will not leave the site so why would anybody need to re-program the sat-nav, lights, aircon and radio?.
It is a shame that these thing happen as otherwise it is a good service and convenient.

Drop and Go - awful service and experience - AVOID

Used DROP AND GO service which keeps the car at the airport throughout - which I confirmed via my app. Sales spin is that the bus from drop and go and back is a 20 minute route and therefore the most you would wait on your return for the bus is 20 minutes max .
After waiting 40 minutes with plenty of Jet 2 Park buses coming and going and staff buses - no sign of the drop and go. So we then decided to get a taxi as there are also no indications of when next bus is due - and being told by a pilot sometimes the drivers can’t be bothered coming to T2 and just go back from T1!
Will definitely not be using this service again - would rather pay the extra £20 and use M&G going forward.
AWFUL SERVICE

Great service at Midstay…

I booked well in advance at Midstay parking. It was all very simple, easy to find, walk to the terminal, easy to collect car and leave. On my return from vacation today I found my car had a flat battery. I walked to the barrier, pressed the 📞 button, spoke to real nice guy who made a call and a most helpful Manchester Airport staff member came with jump leads. So fast, so efficient, so polite. 100% great service. No extra charges for leaving the carpark late. Thank you guys, much appreciated.

CAR DAMAGED My husband parked his car for 3 weeks…

My husband parked his car for 3 weeks at Manchester airport T1 when going on a holiday to India . When he returned and took his car back he noticed a crack in the wind screen . He was in a rush to get back to Hull as he had to be at his job in the afternoon therefore he had no time to report the incident . Later when he contacted the officials they turned a deaf ear .

The cost to pick us up was £6.20

The cost to pick us up was £6.20. It took minutes. We were picked up from t3 pickup. This is exploiting a monopoly, and undermines the improvements that are being done to the terminals.

Poor service mid evening 17/5/23 JetParks 1

Flight arrived back last night in good time and then had to wait outside for 40 minutes for a bus to return to JetParks1 at around 8-8.30pm. Lots of other families waiting and when driver turned up he said he had only just started the shift. Given that the car park is so close to the airport there must have been a good while that there was no bus available at all either collecting customers from the car park and also returning arrivals. Other buses were arriving for the other car parks but not Jetparks 1.

My car was broken into at T3

My car was broken into and I have since found out that there is NO car park security. So I expect there is now an organised criminal gang working these car parks, knowing that they are free to do whatever they want with no repercussions! The cctv is only for the airline security! So be aware and spread the news. I will make sure I never use these car parks again and it includes Jetparks. Which won’t be easy because they are convenient if you can actually find a space. But I don’t want to return to my car after a holiday to find it’s been robbed and every pocket strewn around. If they find your house keys and an address… will your house be robbed as well? Play it safe and just don’t use these car parks!

Absolute rip-off

Absolute rip-off, they charge more than Heathrow parking tariffs. £12 for 30 mins, £20 for 60 mins, £5 for 300 seconds drop off !!! £1 for trolleys !!! should be embarrassed compared to other int. airports, sick and poor paying these each time visiting the airport, no real alterative available ! MAG are outright money grabbers ! as if airport taxes are not enough !

Confusing diversions

Booked online to park our car at Jetpark 1 for 7 days. There was quite a few road works inside the car park and the diversion signs were totally confusing and took at least a good 20 minutes of driving around in circles before we found where we needed to park. Once parked we waited less than 10 minutes for transfer bus which took us straight to terminal 2 no problems.
On returning was a little longer than the 10 minutes wait they say it would take but when it did arrive was lovely and warm on-board and took us straight to JetPark. Was easier to leave the car park once we had our car too.

Arrived with plenty of time…but

Arrived with plenty of time, as per other reviews no spaces in T3 multi-storey car park.

Drove up and down all levels looking for a space, some people had just abandoned their cars in the thoroughfare of the car park meaning we couldn’t get through and had to reverse down some rows.

Reversing down an up ramp, just what you need to get you in the mood for your holiday.

Cars abandoned had been scraped and dented.

Thoughts of having to leave and book something else, it was car-nage….

Followed a couple pulling a case to then trail them to their car and space after 40 distressing minutes, never again, stop being so greedy, stop overselling.

Never using T3 multi-storey again, not worth the stress and earache…..

Blue badge holder

Blue badge holder. Phoned the day before. Told if I'm travelling give my badge to the person dropping me off. They then show it to operative at barrier who will let them out without charge. In reality this did not happen. My daughter dropped me off. Tried to tell them at barrier, but was still charged £5. Phone numbers to complain engaged 24/7 because they don't want to speak . Complaint emails ignored. Absolute disgrace. Money grabbing execs. Gone cheap with Ryanair, easyjet etc and now determined to make money from the motorist to replace landing fees
