Another typical subscription company…

Another typical subscription company that makes it impossible to cancel. Links they direct you to click on to cancel do not take you anywhere, neither does the help centre. Feel scammed.

Decided to try this companies gold 7…

Decided to try this companies gold 7 day trial which enabled me to check out the app. On the same day I decided it wasn’t for me and cancelled the subscription. Despite this the company went ahead and charged my credit card with the full subscription amount and they now say they received no cancellation from me and will not charge me again but will downgrade my membership to bronze. No refund though…should have checked the reviews before I went ahead

Fed up with searching daily for reward…

Fed up with searching daily for reward flights to Miami, I signed up to this alert service. I was initially sceptical but thought £3.99 per month was cheap enough to give it a go. I set the alert 5 months' ahead and am delighted to have just found the seats I wanted. For total outlay of £25, I reckon I have saved about £700. Excellent value.

Ignoring Refund Request

I’ve been in contact with Reward Flight Finder to request a refund on the day they auto-charged me for silver membership as I had changed my mind. They gave me a downgrade to a bronze membership and made no acknowledgment to my refund request. I have tried to contact them again multiple times and have received no response. I did not receive an email reminder or otherwise, about my renewal, in the period leading up to being charged either. I’m really disappointed in the customer service here.

Reward Flight Finder Pure Gold

RFF did exactly what it says on the tin. I initially joined their free Bronze service which was fine. Their website has all sorts of tips on how to get the best seats so when I earned a BA companion voucher and wanted to find Business Class tickets to the Caribbean (Bridgetown) I upgraded to their paid Gold subscription which notified me immediately when Reward seats became available so I could beat the scramble for tickets. I also created a search for First Class Reward seats which are very rarely available. Pleased to say RFF came up trumps and my wife and I are now flying First to Bridgetown! They also respond promptly to enquiries/requests via their feedback/help service. Well worth the subscription. Highly recommend this website and service.

No alerts sent for gold membership

Set up alerts on RFF this morning and subscribed to the gold plan.

No email or SMS alerts came through when Avios seats were released by BA later this morning.

Pretty disappointing, why should I pay for gold membership if no alerts come through. I will be cancelling my subscription after the 7 day trial period.

Hi,

So sorry for this issue. There was a bug with the London to Tokyo route which was fixed a few days ago. We only check TP reviews periodically, as most customer enquiries come through our customer support. I will reach out to you personally

Functionality nuked

I loved this website, but recently they nuked the functionality of the Basic plan. It's fair to ask for payment, but I think they've got the pricing way too high; it's about double the price of Seat Alerts if you compare the useful features. Also, I'm getting marketing emails even though I never subscribe in signup processes.

Thanks for your feedback Ashley 👍

We needed to make this change in order to become more sustainable and to continue improving the product. We're a team of 4 and running RFF takes a lot of time, effort, and resources.

Given that we help some customers save thousands of pounds (literally), I'd say our starting price of £3.33/month is very underpriced. Some customers email us to tell us they'd pay 2-3x what we charge considering the value we provide.

That being said, it does probably depend on your use case.
I'd love to have a chat to better understand your thoughts and will email you directly to continue this conversation.

What is Seat Alerts btw? Do you mean the EF tool? They charge $5-10 per month and last time I checked they didn't fully support reward availability for BA.

I'll double check why you're receiving emails from us, some setting may have gotten changed accidentally.

Good, but could do with a pricing revamp

Decent interface and robust alerting, but I wish their subscription model was more accessible, transparent and flexible. If they can work on a more transparent pricing/sub model then they'd have my custom for longer in the long run.

We think we are transparent about how to cancel your trial and subscription. But, maybe there is an issue we are unaware of. We have tried to investigate your complaint but find it hard to do so without the email address attached to your membership. So we would appreciate it if you could email us at [email protected]

When did RFF succumb to the usual dark…

When did RFF succumb to the usual dark patterns of making it non-obvious on how to cancel membership?

Someone there has sat down and thought how best to make that difficult and to discourage you. You have to click the "bronze" membership, which is _looks_ greyed out, and in the bottom right.

Then if you do find that, then asks you for a reason _before_ just doing what you asked. Then ANOTHER screen to try and get you to stay again.

Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

It works

It works. We subscribed for the gold membership with immediate alerts hoping to get two business flights to Japan with points. Several months later, we got the alert and could quickly call BA to upgrade to business :)) I'm in the UK, not sure why the profile says the US

My third success

Thank you again RFF. I have just bought business class tickets to Japan for May 2024 using my companion voucher and saving about 6800 pounds against the cash price. This is my third success with you after having secured flights last year to Toronto and Bermuda. My strategy is to set alerts 9 months ahead, setting many alerts to different destinations at different times. It seems to work.

BA reservations staff told me about this site

BA reservations staff told me about this site. What a find! It really does work. Signed up for their Gold account just before Christmas & now I have seats to Miami for November. Very easy. Worth every penny. I emailed them to say they should be more proactive about informing their members about destination-specific easy availability.

I make sure to use my Avios

With the current cost of living crisis it is silly not to use my collection of Avios for flights. I use RFF to find the flights and so far, it has worked, so long as you set alerts months ahead. Booking flights and looking for deals for a vacation/holiday are definitely not fun activities and adds a lot of stress to a supposedly relaxing experience and RFF helps me avoid a lot of the headaches. It's definitely become an integrated part of my trip planning process. I highly recommend.

Information is inaccurate

Information is inaccurate! Was searching for flights within a specific date, every single flight that RFF showed as available I cross checked with BA to book and they confirmed at least one leg was not a reward flight. I contacted RFF 3 times over 2 weeks to ask what was going on and they simply ignore my emails.

So sorry about this.

We investigated this today and found that your ticket had been mistakenly assigned to someone to investigate who's currently on holiday. Thus your ticket was accidentally overlooked till now.

We did have some intermittent availability data issues a couple of weeks ago due to an issue on BA's end, but these were fixed quite quickly.

We'll make sure to have protocols in place to prevent this from happening again, and we've also recently added a new team member to help us answer customer queries.

I have reached out to you directly via email as well so we can continue this discussion. Hope you can give us another chance.

Brilliant product

Brilliant product
Finds reward seats for British Airways only. I like the focus on BA alone, rather than having more airlines. Makes the site quicker and the blogs and other content more targeted on BA & collecting and spending Avios. Having just found seats to Dubai for next March, I’ve got 4 alerts set for different cities for next May. So easy!

Nowhere near perfect but good

Regular email updates received on alerts but never quite seemed to match up with the availability no matter how quick I was, although there were usually additional options that hadn't been picked up! Strange. Clearly lots of bugs to sort out but in terms of usability pretty good.

Bloody awesome

Bloody awesome. Virgin’s website and whole iser experience is just dire, so having this tool is a brilliant way to get around its many inadequacies. Obviously the BA website is already fairly flexible/comprehensive, but this still makes life much easier. Paying the subscription for hourly searches is money well spent!

Still find this site really helpful

Still find this site really helpful, having set up alerts and notifications etc., it makes finding cheap flights much easier. I have booked flights to Miami for next April. Excellent value at £4.99 per month, I'll probably upgrade to an annual membership.
