provided by Téglás István (1853–1915). He can be considered one of the most passionate
pioneers of archaeology from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th
century. His main contributions are not only related to Potaissa. He recorded numerous
archaeological discoveries and artefacts in Transylvania. His diaries were published in
2005. Other contributions regarding Téglás and his activity are spread throughout several
studies. To study the topography of Potaissa it is impossible to ignore the information
provided by Téglás. He constantly recorded all the discoveries he saw during his presence
in the city. Our article details some of these discoveries, including different artefacts and
road sectors
