Toast, and swap update.

There is something immensely comforting about Toast, especially if one has been a little under the weather.
It's what I eat when I can't imagine eating anything else.
Yes, it's a breakfast food, but actually for me, it's an any time of day food.
Toast and honey...mmm!
Do you enjoy it for breakfast or at other times too?

I do hope people have received their swap parcels by now.
I know there at least four or five who have.
Please do put a post about your gift, it's so nice for the giver to see that everything arrived safely.

We have heard from;
Pom Pom
Debbie
myself
and now a new post from Gypsy Mom
who was partnered with Betty
Betty's post has just gone up.
So has Lorrie's.

I do admire the lovely gifts that have been sent.

Once again, thank you for joining in. I know that several people missed the swap and would have liked to join, so maybe ...next year....

Stationery swap!

My Stationery swap arrived today!
I partnered with Laura, who has a blog called  White Spray Paint.
I now have some delightful stationery to use, with lots of choices, note cards, birthday and greetings cards, and even two pretty cards for Birthdays.

There is a packet of mixed cards, so useful as some are Birthday cards, some are Greetings, and they will be perfect for those quick notes that one so often sends.

Then another packet, this time of notecards.
One side white, and the other dotty pink!
That is so sweet. I use this type of cards when I write thank you notes or invite a friend for coffee.

Did you see the little green note holder in the top photo?
That's for writing my thoughts....which will probably be about appointments or grocery shopping!

Thank you so much Laura, I feel very treasured by your delightful gifts.
I do hope some of the other ladies on the Swap are sending out and receiving their gifts. Please let me know if there are any problems.
Once again, thank you all for joining in.

Do put a post up when you have received your parcel.

Stephanie kindly sent me instructions for Linky but I think it's beyond me!

Mothers Day.

Happy Mother's Day!
These beautiful flowers were sent from my sweet daughter in Canada.
I have two Mothers days, one earlier in the year in England, and a Canadian one!

What a joyful range of colours.

Rhubarb, and Camassia.

Today's big excitement!
The first picking of my two plants of Rhubarb.
I love its glossy red stems. This will turn into a tasty Rhubarb Crumble for lunch.

And a few Camassia flower heads.
The garden is coming alive.

The Stationery swap is under way now, posting going out by 12th May to USA, Canada, Belgium and UK.
Do please post about your swap when you receive your gifts.
Thank you all for joining in.
