This delicious rice cake snack is one of my family recipes because I know no one else will eat it this way and my mom confirmed she made it up lol (except the rice cake part). The rice cake I use here is a substitute for the original pancake-shaped type because I can’t get/make that myself. So this is the best dupe I can do although the texture is slightly different. The flavor is so simple, fragrant, garlicky and it pairs amazingly well with the rice cake texture.

It’s enjoyed during the cold winter with family gathering around the fire stove and toasting the rice cake over the fire low and slow until it puffs up.
