Meet Kara...

Kara is 15 months old and the baby of the family. She has two big sisters, Olivia (11) and Alyssa (4) and one big brother, Aaron (9). She enjoys being the center of attention and won't let you forget it. She is fun, wild, sweet, and fiesty. She can be gentle and hug and kiss you one minute and the next turn her little nose up with a "humpf" and swat her hand. Being the baby of the family has many advantages and she takes full benefit of all of them. Never without a big brother or sister to defend her, she is brave and believes the world is really all about her. Lunchtime is never complete without her favorite lunch buddy, Jackson, our dog. Or maybe it's the other way around as she never fails to share her lunch with him. Life with Kara is fun, exciting, and exhausting. Meet Stella Grace...

Stella is 25 months. She has one older sister, Anya who is 4 1/2. Stella has the sweetest personality...but she is also into everything. She's extremely busy. If it's too quiet in the other room, I know to be worried! :) Stella is very talkative. She will talk to just about anyone, anywhere! It tends to throw people off because she is small for her age but speaks exceptionally well. She started counting at the age of 16 months. She could count to 10 with no problem. We have video here at 17 months to prove it! She loves playing with her big sister and wants to do everything big sister does. On most days, Stella is happiest playing with crayons and paper or mega blocks. She loves to build tall towers and then knock them down. She keeps me on my toes and makes me laugh daily. Stella is just a joy to be around. She puts a smile on your face and lights up a room when she enters it. I'm probably biased since she is my baby girl!

Her favorite learning toys...

2. Play-doh
3. Shape Sorters
5. Crayons & Coloring Books (we practice naming colors as she picks them out)
6. Her older sister
7. Marshmallows & Raisins (counting & sorting games)
8. Mega Blocks
9. Cars (she lines them up and counts them)

4. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

She has a love for numbers and letters, often twisting and standing in her high chair to reach the alphabet poster on the wall. She adores playgrounds, climbing up to the top as quickly as she can despite how high it might be. Of course she's learned to navigate cell phones now- turning them on and hitting numbers at every opportunity. Isabella is the second oldest of four kids. She's 47 months old with a 5 year old sister, 2 year old sister, and 1 year old brother! She's our wild and crazy one, the one who keeps us laughing. Isabella can usually be found in high heels, a feather boa, and some type of costume. She never wants to wear "clothes," only dresses. (To her, anything that's not a dress is labeled clothes). Isabella can be found most days looking through our very extensive collection of children's books (It was hard to list favorites for her because she really enjoys them all). Isabella loves to watch Strawberry Shortcake in her pajamas and would stay that way all day if I let her! But being a former schoolteacher, we only get videos in short doses. Meet...Ben

Ben is the almost 4 year old baby of the family.
He has a big sister named Faith who is almost 7 and just finished first grade.
He goes to preschool now, on the 2 days a week that Mommy works, and sometimes likes it. ;o)
We do a university model school so Faith goes to school 2 days a week and homeschools the rest of the time. Ben goes to a different preschool but will attend the same school in the next year or two also.
He loves to read and comes downstairs every morning with a pile of books for Daddy to read to him.
He is currently obsessed with superheroes and runs around the house in his cape, protecting us from the bad guys.
He loves to swim and can now swim the width of our pool without arm floaties (supervised of course).
He just learned to ride his new bike, so we are spending lots of time outside practicing that too.
He also loves to do school & craft time with Mommy & big sister, so we are doing more & more preschool activities at home, just for him. We're using some Before Five in a Row and some unit studies for fun this summer. I think we are going to to a bird one next.
He is very excited to go to VBS this year, it is his first year to go and he cannot wait!
