Bob the Builder: Bob’s Birthday ~ Dress Up Ideas

Photobucket Bob's Birthday (Bob the Builder (8x8))

Bob the Builder: Bob’s Birthday by Diane Redmond

Summary: Bob’s friends all work together to plan a surprise party for their friend Bob.

My boys LOVE to dress up!! To go along with the community helpers theme, we pulled out several of our community helper sets: construction worker, fire fighter, police officer, and doctor

You don’t have to have these sets to play dress up! Check out the Dollar Store, because it is a great place to find dress up items very cheap!

This little builder used Alphabet blocks and a few tools and went straight to work!

This doctor takes very good care of his patients, even performs surgery when necessary!

What are your child’s favorite dress up games? Where have you found fun dress up sets for your child? Leave a comment and share.

I took the time to walk through a fire plan with my boys. Here’s a peek at what we did together.

1. I showed them where the fire detectors are, and what they sound like.

Beach Music ~ Slippery Fish

One of the things that my boys really love about the beach is getting to look for all the different animals. Usually we only see dolphins, seagulls, and jellyfish, but that doesn’t stop us from looking for sharks and whales!

Here’s a song that my boys love called “Slippery Fish”. I tried to get them to sing on camera but they refused, so you’re stuck with me.

Lyrics:

Slippery fish, slippery fish, swimming in the water,
Slippery fish, slippery fish, swimming in the water

Gulp, Oh, no! It’s been eaten by an…

Octopus, octopus, swimming in the water
Octopus, octopus, swimming in the water

Gulp Oh, no! It’s been eaten by a…

Tuna fish, tuna fish, swimming in the water,
Tuna fish, tuna fish, swimming in the water

Gulp Oh, no! It’s been eaten by a…

Great big shark, great big shark, swimming in the water,
Great big shark, great big shark, swimming in the water

Gulp, Oh, no! It’s been eaten by a…

Big fat whale, big fat  whale, swimming in the water,
Big fat whale, big fat whale, swimming in the water
Gulp! Oh, no! I have a tummy ache!

Don’t miss the rest of the Beach Theme ideas that we will be sharing at Totally Tots!! I’ll be sharing more next week as well, so stay tuned.
