June 2013 - In my rear view mirror

Wow - I can't believe that it has only been a few short weeks since my boys started their summer break.

I have been incredibly busy...and lazy...my latest obsessions are the board game Ticket To Ride...and it's related I-versions; and the Outlander series of books by Diana Gabaldon between these two I haven't done a terribly lot of quilting....and yet....

June 2013 Finishes - Tops to Treasures

I did manage to quilt 12 items for customers and friends of Tops to Treasures;

AND I had another item published by Moda Bakeshop;

T MNYON

AND go on a road trip with my Mom in my new little car.  We went to visit two of our favorite quilt shops, Stitchin Heaven, and Happiness is....Quilting.;

#012 Washi House

AND receive this wonderful bit of quilty paper post card art from Annie FreezeFrame.

Not a bad month at that.

On to July!

Home again home again Jiggity Jog

hmmmm

Didn't I write that just the other day?!

I'm tickled as punch to be featured on Moda Bake Shop today.

This sweet little quilt has been waiting in the wings a long time...

"Jiggity"

So named because the blocks seem to waggle in their spots like the jiggity icons on my cell phone when I touch the screen too long.

Made from Kapalua Batiks

this finished quilt measures 46" x 53"

 - perfect for snuggling in when you your kids come out of the pool with blue lips!

If you are over having a visit from the Bake Shop, Welcome!! Stick around...kick the tires...and enjoy.

June....where did the time go....

Taking a moment to remind myself that I do indeed get a few things accomplished.

I finished these little bits of bigger projects...

And a few bigger projects as well....

All while working on a few things for someone else....

Not to mention the piles of laundry, a long weekend with my Mom (on a bus tour of seven local quilt shops), and spending time with my guys.

Life is good.

Ta-done! & Welcome

Wahoo!

About a week ago I showed you the parcel that was delivered to my door steps.  Remember this yummy fabric?
Kapalua Batiks from Moda

Last night I finished putting my quilt....
"Jiggity"

Which means I can now play with a second parcel of fabric.

"Marmalade" by Bonnie & Camille for Moda
I have to figure out how to make this quilt.

"Marmalade Circle"
My house is one long frat party at the moment.  My three teen age boys are all home for the summer and doing the things that teen age boys do...nothing...err eat, sleep, play loud video games, and watch "My Little Pony."  (Really, they just finished a marathon of watching it and tell me that it is hysterical and not meant for little girls.)  I am in desperate need of a girly girl fix.  Marmalade is just the ticket!  I feel better just looking at the pictures of it.  Sigh.

Wow....

That is all I have to say....

"Marmalade" by Bonnie & Camille arrived this morning

Is going to become this
AND I just finished this...

....but it needs a better picture.  (Just wait....I have an ace up my sleeve.)

AND I am running out of excuses for putting off starting this....

The gears are turning...

Oh, I love my mail man....or the UPS guy...

Look what came yesterday!

These yummies - Kapalua Batiks, to be released this August by Moda - are going to become this...

....it is a jiggity version of my twisted charm quilt modified for a charm pack with fewer pieces.

Next up, ABC 123 by American Jane - also due out in August for Moda....

Will be turned into.....
....just as soon as I finish this post.

Look for both quilts, and patterns for them sometime soon (after I make them) in Moda Bakeshop.

How awesome is that?!
