In just 2 weeks’ time we'll begin the #HubsasHosts Tour, taking 14 delegates representing arts hubs across Southern Africa and the UK to visit 7 of the UK's brightest arts hubs across Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Wigan. @SouthernAfrArts #SouthernAfricaArts #CreativeEconomy

First up we’ll be visiting @ParadiseWrks and @ManchesterCraft & Design Centre in #Manchester - both of whom provide vital artist and maker studios, exhibition space and sustain thriving creative communities.

Then we’ll be taking a trip to #Leeds to visit the newly renovated @LeedsPlayhouse and @SlungLow - each pioneers in community engagement and accessible creative hubs for their city and beyond, staging world class performance and supporting artists.

Next we’ll be heading up to #Newcastle to visit one of the oldest art collectives in the world @Amber_Side Gallery who specialise in documentary photography, and co-operatively run @StarAndShadow Cinema, dedicated to grass roots culture and programming.

Finally, we’ll be spending the day in @TheOldCourts, a wonderful multi-arts space to catch up on all their exciting developments and energising the arts scene in #Wigan.

We can’t wait to meet the 14 hub leaders from across #SouthernAfricaArts & UK taking part, and take them on a whirlwind #HubsAsHosts tour of Northern city culture.
