Last Minute Tip!

Well, it is almost time...only a few more sleeps until Christmas! As excited as I am, I am still feeling a bit anxious to get all of my last minute "to-dos" finished. You too?

I just wanted to drop a quick note this morning to share the sweet little tags that of Design Team created this month. Tags might be small, but they can sure pack a BIG punch! You can add them to a plain gift bag, dangle it off of a gift that is too big to wrap, or coordinate it with your favorite wrapped gift! Here is a look at what our Design Team did this month...

Design Team Inspiration with Kim!!

Hi Scrappers!!!! Hope all of you are enjoying the season of Thanksgiving as we prepare our turkeys, dressing, and the arrival of loved ones. It seems like a lot of "ho-hum" as we prep, cook, slave away in the kitchen, but all of it comes together once we look around the table and are surrounded by those we dearly love. With that said, we are rapidly approaching the next season...Christmas!!!!! I don't know about you, but I have been looking for inspiration for all things "Tis the Season" As the rest of you I have found tons of inspiring ideas over at Pinterest. I have decided to make most of my gifts and cards for my family and I needed to find ideas that were fast and easy. So for those of you who like to add that special "Crafty" touch for the holidays, let me show you a few cards and such that I plan on using....

I hope you find some inspiration from these few items and I wish you and your family a very safe and happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Product Spotlight: Little Yellow Bicycle Autumn Tree!

The Little Yellow Bicycle Autumn Tree...gotta love it!
And you certainly can't have a good Fall Collection without trees and leaves, right? The Little Yellow Bicycle Hello Fall Collection, was a perfect addition to our November TSR Flavors of the Month Kit. The colors are vibrant and bright...perfect FALL!! But papers with a scene can sometimes be tricky, don't ya think? Some of the problems...If you put too many pics you could cover the images, you can only put your pics in one place, and how do you add a scene image to a double layout without fussy cutting for hours? It can present problems.

Here is a look at how our DT tackled the dilemma!

Happy Fall by Jenny

Jenny added strips of paper to the left hand side of her layout to give her layout balance, and she also completely filled the white space of the Autumn Tree paper with pics! Great layout!!

Wise Beyond Your Years by Kim

Kim did just a bit of fussy cutting, by just cutting out the trunk of the tree! Who knew that the tree would look this cute on a layout without the colorful leaves...smarty pants!

One Happy Tree Climber by Melanie

I think Melanie added every single Little Yellow Bicycle Embellishment from this kit to her layout...love it! I love the way she used the Autumn Tree paper "as is" and a different colored piece of the LYB patterned paper for her left side of her double! I also LOVE how she added threaded buttons to her leaves to give it some dimension.

Fall Is On Its Way by Frances

I really tried to keep the tree the main focus of my layout, so I added just a few LYB embellishments here and there to the right side of my layout to draw your eye there. I also doodled around a few of leaves to make them POP!!

Aphra was just genius to slap the LYB Autumn Tree paper on some coordinating cardstock!! And again to balance her layout, she added her pics and embellishments to the left side of her double. LOVE the vibrant, blue cardstock with her pics!

October Freaky Fast Layout #2 and Sneak #4

Hiya! Frances here with October's 2nd FREAKY FAST LAYOUT!!

And just in case you forgot, here is October's formula...

1. Cardstock or Patterned Paper Background
2. 6-2 1/2 X 2 1/2 patterned paper squares
3. 1 patterned paper strip...your desired length and width!

And here is the steps to completing your layouts using the October formula...

1. Collect a few pics.
2. Cut your patterned paper to the dimensions stated above.
3. Push the paper around your cardstock till you achieve the look you want, or simply copy my layout below!
4. Adhere and EMBELLISH! It is that easy!!

This layout was created using the Jillibean Soup 6 Bean Soup kit from the October Doubleshot Kit. And again, it was really east to put together. This layout took about 35 minutes!! I am not even kidding!!
