Challenge #50: Home

Hi folks, Amber here today with our newest challenge. Having recently moved, I've been spending a lot of time thinking about what 'home' means.  I also chose the word 'Home' to focus on as my word for the year. So I thought it would make for a fun challenge to see you how you all interpret the theme of "Home". This can be any project with a home on it, a card or gift to someone who just moved to a new home, a home décor piece, anything!

Here's what I made:
I made this mini album that is the shape of a house to document all of the homes we've lived in (6 houses and 2 apartments in 15 years in case you're interested!)

Kristy:
Kristy created this card to send to a friend who is a new Air Force wife...as a reminder that Home is where the Air Force sends you.

Becci:
Becci created this card with a home theme, as a thank you for a housewarming gift. The lower half of the card is an envelope which contains the grey inner layer for an interactive card.

Charity:
Charity created this layout about the long trip home and the mountains on the horizon. What a beautiful drive home!

Michele:
Michele made this CAS card for her sister who just bought a new house.

Cathryn:
Cathryn created this wonderful mixed media piece of art that would look great in any home.

Challenge #49 - Love Your Love

Good morning Paper Girls!

This is Becci and I am kicking off the month of LOVE with a Valentine's class party gift. I am a fan of non-candy gifts for my girl's classes, which takes a little more planning ahead but you can also give a fun gift that will likely last longer.

Here is the beginning of my twisty straw gift project:

Then I noticed that they didn't say WHO the gift was from, so I added these cute little hearts to the back:

One tip for you on any 3D type of craft, like these or boxes or bags that you craft yourself - use HOT GLUE. Seriously, it keeps it together quicker and better and you won't have anything popping off.

Here is my completed project. I ended up making 40 of these straws to split between the girl's two classes:

The PGCB Design Team has even more lovelies to share with you today:
