Autumn Card

Good Morning :)
I am back today with a card using Prima Amber Moon collection.
The October Page kit has now sold out, but there are a couple of Add-On Kits available.

I used the same design process for the card that I used for the October feature layout

I have added a sprinkle of orange sequins into the embellishment cluster.

I used a rubber shape from the Add-On kit for my cards sentiment. The rubber shapes are self adhesive and super sticky!

Autumn is my favourite time of year I love the colours!

Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Card ~ Be Happy and Smile

Good Morning :)
Last week at the Crafts 4 Eternity monthly crop the workshop was Clever Clusters. We used printed die cuts to make cluster embellishments for layouts, cards and more!
I made this card as part of the demonstration.
The April Page Kit includes a selection of die cuts.

It's quite simple in design but has a mixed media background and lots of dimension.

The die cuts used are from Kaisercrafts Sea Breeze collection. I added washi tape pieces and silver thread between the layers of diecuts.

The background was an experiment! I saw an article in the Docrafts magazine where a crackle background was created using PVA glue and acrylic paint.
You paint a thick layer of PVA glue on to cardstock, then a thick layer of acrylic paint on top whilst the glue is still wet. when you dry it with a heat tool it cracks.
It was a quick process and the effect was ok, not as good as a crackle product but I do like to experiment :)

Have you tried a new technique recently? Did it work or was it a complete disaster ?
I will be back soon with my final project using the April Page kit.
Have a wonderful day thanks for stopping by :)

Mixed Media Valentine Card

Good Morning :)
Today I have a quick Valentine card to share.

I used Distress inks, stamping and masking fluid to create this pretty pink card.

The piece was first stamped using Black Stazon ink and my go to script stamp from Indigo Blu.

Using a stencil I drew hearts with masking fluid.

Once dry I added colour using Distress inks. It's more pink than purple IRL :)
I like using masking fluid but boy does it pong lol!!
Have you made something special for Valentine's day?

Thanks for stopping by

My card this week was a made using a technique I taught at the Crafts 4 Eternity crop last weekend.

I stamped, stenciled and splatted ink on to a coffee filter then cut out heart to add to a very CAS card.

The sentiment was handwritten. I'll admit I wrote in pencil first lol!
Don't forget to share your handwritting projects with us HERE.
I'm off to start the weekend! What are you up to this weekend?

#journey card

Good Morning :)
We have had a busy couple of weeks here :)
I took some time out to spend with the family and had a few lovely days out :)
As it's Friday it is time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity.
This week we would like you to share projects with a Transport theme or element.
All the challenge details, entry and gorgeous DT inspiration can be found HERE

I've made a card using my go to-if in doubt-can't help myself design (lol)

The lovely boat die cut is from a My Minds Eye die cut pack, the DP's are some odd bits from 6x6" paper pads mostly My Minds Eye again.

The background was created with a Dylusions Squares stencil and two distress ink pads (Chipped Sapphire and Crushed Olive). I then stamped some dots with black Versafine.

Of course I had to add cotton thread too!

The #sentiment is from a C4E Page kit (Roosting)
I probably could have added some enamel dots or sequins but I forgot lol!
That's it from me today, I hope you will join us this week :)
Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Stencil Stamping Hello Card

Good Morning :)
I have my DT card for this weeks C4E Recipe Challenge to share.
All The challenge details, entry and DT inspiration can be found HERE.

My card uses a technique I taught at the C4E Crop and workshops this month, stamping with stencils.
This is a great way to get more from your stencils and can create fabulous backgrounds for cards, layouts and journal pages.

The technique is far from new as many people who use inks with stencils will 'blot' the stencil on to another page or piece of paper so as not to waste the ink. For this card I did not ink through the stencil at all but added ink directly onto the stencil then pressed it on to the card.

Once the ink was dry I stamped over it with Versafine ink and two different stamps.

The die cut feathers were cut from silver miri card and added on to the card with sticky fixers and some cotton thread behind.

To finish the card I added a few sequins and stamped a 'Hello' sentiment with Versafine ink.
I seem to be adding cotton thread to all my projects at the moment lol!
Do you have a repeating element in your projects?
That's all from me today, thank-you for stopping by have a great weekend!

Red, White and Blue Card for Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge

Good Morning :)
I am back today with my DT card for this weeks C4E Recipe Challenge
 ~ RED, WHITE and BLUE.
All the challenge details, entry and gorgeous inspiration can be found HERE.

My card today was made for my nephew who is 13 today!!

The background was created with a Crafters Workshop stencil (Stacked Triangles) and red Stazon ink.

I then stamped over this with a stitch stamp (Bo Bunny) and Arrow stamp using Chipped Sapphire Distress ink pad.

I flicked some Chipped Sapphire ink and Maya Gold gold paint over the top before adding the embellishments.

The die cut cog was coloured with red Stazon ink and layered on top of red, white, blue and gold cotton thread.
The gold arrow is from this months page kit. The numbers are some very old Thickers!
A few gold sequins finished off the card.

This seems to be my "go to" design at the moment lol!
Do you have a "go to" design which you repeat often?
Thanks for stopping by today have a great weekend!

Mixed Media Metal Card

Good Morning :)
We have a new challenge today at Crafts 4 Eternity....METAL!
We would like you to share any project with a metal element or theme.

stamping all day

Our lovely sponsors this week are Stamping All Day who are kindly offering one randomly selected winner 3 downloads from their fabulous collection.
As always there is gorgeous inspiration from the lovely DT ladies too!
Join us HERE for the challenge and share your metal projects with us!

My card this week is a mixed media Father's Day card.
I used some DP scraps layered on to a piece of a piece of MME Now and Then paper from a 6x6" paper pad.

I then added modelling paste through a stencil (stacked triangles - Crafters Workshop)

I added some colour with Distress inks and then created the metal focal point.

The metal focal point is a mix of old watch parts, paper clip, old washers, a Tim Holtz clock, ball chain and some string.

To finish I added a few beads and some silver glass fragments from Prima.
The card turned out to be quite heavy but stands ok :)
Over to you now :) Dig out those metal bits and bobs and create a project to share with us at C4E!
Have a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by :)
Hugs
