Here are some more of those detachable Artist Trading Cards (ATCs). ATCs are fun because they are collectable, tradeable or displayable! The only rule is that they measure 2.5" x 3.5". I made the ATCs by stamping the main image first in black, masking it, and stamping the adorable skull and crossbones in a lighter shade.

I used more of that Japanese washi masking tape, which makes the ATCs removable.
See my post regarding the tape and where to buy it, here.

Glimmer Mist Makeover......

Glimmer Mist is the same great product with a Fabulous NEW Look!

Don't you just love the new labels!! These lovely labels are the only thing that's changed. The Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist is still the same wonderful product we all love! Don't forget to get your new Fall LE colors, available now!! See my post here, for a card with the new Fall color CINDER LE! It is an amazing dark sooty black with a hint of purple/blue. I already bought a back up! ;o)

I had several inquiries about this technique. So, here is some info.
For the stamped image portion:
On heavy cardstock (I like to use Papertreyink's Stampers Select), emboss your image. Here, I used Versamark and Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder in Starbust Candy Rose. It is better to use a very light EP for this technique. Then heat set. Wait till the EP cools, then spray with glimmer mist. I used Dewberry, Huckleberry, and Frost. The darker glimmer mists help the light EP to really stand out. After you let the glimmer mist soak in a little, take a q-tip or some tissue and soak up the excess glimmer mist from your embossed image.

For the background (butterfly):
On heavy cardstock or watercolor paper, spray your lighter colors first. Here I used Blue Skies, and Tattered Rose. Let it dry. (heat set or air dry) Then set down your TA's Glimmer Mist Screen Butterfly (found in the Starter Kit).
Spray over the stencil with a darker (contrasting is best) color. Here I used Olive Vine. Don't forget to flip your stencil over onto another sheet of cardstock. All that lovely glimmer mist that pooled on the back will make a beautiful negative image. And, your glimmer mist won't go to waste!
For added contrast, I removed the nozzle of my glimmer mist and used a flicking technique for the splatter marks. Which I did here in Red Velvet.

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist/Glimmer Mist Screens
Marvy heart punches
Martha Stewart butterfly/vine punches
