Since Mother's Day will be here soon,
I made a Mother's Day Card for the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge
and the Double Trouble Challenge.  And depending on the sentiment you put inside the card, it could also be used for Mom's birthday.

On the top shelf of the closet, where most of my stash is found. is a shoe box marked "coordinated paper pieces".
It was filled to the brim with individual sandwich bags, each with old papers.  On the very bottom I found pieces from an old card making kit, which I decided to use to make my card.  Everything I needed was there, except for the digital image.  The kit also contained card bases shaped like flowers, green card bases that had a tab and a slit to tuck it into and hold it shut, papers, stickers, pop outs, ribbon, brads, and envelopes.  I spent the rest of the day making about ten cards using all the pieces  Now I have one less baggie in that box, which will go back in the closet for now.

I hope you'll play along with both challenges.

The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.

You can be sure that one of us will be visiting you.

Don't forget that this TMS Challenge will run for 2 weeks to coincide with the DTC.

Words for Mom

My yellow tulips are blooming.  Those bulbs are over 30 years old, but they come up every year just in time for Mother's Day.  I didn't even see buds on them earlier this week.  The buds are very small, hiding at the base of the plant.  The flower opens first, very close to the ground among the leaves.  Then the stem grows last, after the tulip opens.  Eventually the flower will stand about 8 inches tall.

Today I have a Mother's Day card to share.    It features a digi image from Digi Stamps 4 JoyNow that I think about it, this sentiment could be used for just about any occasion.  I added just few touches of color to the image, gems, ribbon with bow, punched border and some butterfly stickers.

Challenges:
Suzy Bee's Bloomin Challenge #127 - Anything Goes with twist: for a lady/girl
Addicted to Stamps Challenge #190 - Photo Inspiration (I went with the mom theme)

Crafting for all Seasons Challenge #124 - Tic Tac Toe (diagonally from lower left to upper right: girlie, digi image, flowers)

Digi Stamps 4 Joy April Challenge #123 -  Anything Goes with a twist: add butterflies

Imagine That! card for Mom

Using Girl with Mom Banner, a precolored digi image from Imagine That! digis by Kris, and some new dies from Our Daily Bread Designs, I've made another Mother's Day card to add to the Send a Smile for Kids box I'll be mailing next week.
This could also be a birthday card, or a card for any number of reasons.
And it was super easy to make!
Challenges I am entering....
Brown Sugar Challenge #193 - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday Challenge #14 - Anything Goes

Until another day....

For Mom

This card is one that I made to mail off to Send a Smile 4 Kids.  The digi image is from Bugaboo digi stamps; the stamped sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy.  The image was colored with promarkers, as well as, the blue strip across the middle of the white shimmer tape (CTMH).  I also colored 3 of the white dots on the bg paper blue and added 3 clear skittles over top.  That's one way to get a perfect match.  And I used a corner punch on the brown mat.  Not all moms like frilly, girlie cards.

Challenges I am entering include:
Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge - Moms or Special Females
Catch the Bug Challenge - Anything Goes
