Imagine That! May Progressive Challenge

This month's freebie for the May Progressive Challenge at Imagine That! is a super cute digi set called Go Fly A Kite.

Kris, thanks so much for this wonderful set!

Here is the card I made using the dog digi:

I colored the image with markers, sponged a bit of light blue around the kite, and green at the bottom.   This card went right in the box to go to Send A Smile 4 Kids.

While I'm here, I might as well show you the card I made for the Color Challenge at MFT.  I made this card with my grandson-in-law in mind.  He's in his late twenties.

The rectangle dies and Happy Birthday dies are from MFT.

The Crazy Bird is a Stampers Anonymous stamp, which I paper pieced and fussy cut.

Challenges for this card include:

My Favorite Things Color Challenge #165 - see above

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #405 - dies/stencils

Tuesday Morning Sketches #600

Welcome to my blog, where I have
a new card
to share with you each week for
Tuesday Morning Sketches

This week I've made a super easy card using  a piece of recycled striped paper, from a Thank You note I received in a CTMH order just yesterday, and bits and pieces from my scrap pile.  Circle dies
are by Sizzix and "hi" die is from Momenta.

I hope you'll have time to play along at

this week.
The Design Team would love it if you'd visit our blogs.
 Patti
You can be sure that one of us will be visiting yours!
Have a great and crafty day!

Challenges:
Stinkin' Inkers Challenge - Recycle/Reuse (striped paper)
Mix It Up Challenge #48 - AG;No Stamping
Dies R Us Challenge #166 - AG (Sizzix dies used)
Die Cut Divas Challenge - Window or Aperture Card

Outlawz Progressive Challenge March 2021

For the March Outlaws Progressive Challenge, participants in the February Progressive Challenge were given a darling Paper Nest Dolls digital image, Lulu Bee, to use.

I used a stitched rectangle die from ODBD, a Momenta sentiment die, and a Sizzix corner die, with inlaid glitter pieces. The image was colored with markers and watercolor pencils.  The wings have a heavy coating of clear Wink of Stella.

Isn't that bee paper great?  I couldn't resist buying just one sheet even though I have enough paper to last several lifetimes!

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for visiting!

Challenges:

Outlawz March 2021 Progressive Challenge - AG with Lulu Bee image.

Mix It Up Challenge #47 - AG, Inlaid Die Cuts optional (fancy corners).

Pearly Sparkles Challenge #60 - Use a digi stamp, Lulu Bee by Paper Nest Dolls

Crafter's Castle March Challenge #39 - AG

Crafty Calendar March Challenge - Feminine

Craft Rocket Challenge #79 - Use Dies and/or Spring

Double Trouble Challenge #65

This is my second entry for DTC #65.  Although the main challenge theme is Something, Anything and Everything, Twisted Sister has requested a phone on the cards.  It is an optional twist, which I didn't include on my first card.  Then I checked my stamps and my digis and this is the closest thing I could find, a digi from Gerde Steiner with a phone, of sorts.

Then when I printed the little guy, my printer left some ink spots on the paper.  I had no choice but to make a few more.  Of course,  I made a little mask for over the mouse so he didn't get all spotted, too.  I colored him with pencils and markers.

Ever make a tin can telephone?  My next door neighbor and I had a set.  The tough part was getting the "phones" between her second floor bedroom and my second floor bedroom.  And then they didn't work anyway.

This simple card is being entered at  Double Trouble Challenge #65 and the Anything Goes September Challenge #42 at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.

Joyful Stars Close to My Heart August Blog Hop

Welcome to the August
Close to My Heart Joyful Stars Blog Hop.

Have some fun hopping between the blogs of this group of talented Close to My Heart consultants, and me, where we share creative projects using CTMH products.
Rumor has it there's a new CTMH catalog with all kinds of wonderful new products.
Unfortunately, I've been sick and have yet to pick up my catalog from Joyce.
I'm sure the consultants in the blog hop will have projects to inspire and tempt you (and me) to check out the new catalog and do some shopping.

Today I've made a card using the Documented Paper Pack which has been out for a while.
The layout was cased from a card my friend, Tracey, made.
The inside reads "Welcome to the Neighborhood".

Now, since this is a blog hop,

you might have arrived here from  Andrea Sherman's blog.
Your next stop is Marie Flayer's blog.

The hop is circular.  If you are just starting here, simply continue hopping until you find your way back,

making the full circle.

If you get lost, the complete list of participants is on
Joyce's blog.

 sparkle.
We'd like to see lots of sparkle in your entries, too.
I've used the digi image, Little Birdie, from All Dressed Up Stamps, our sponsor for this challenge.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/alldressedupstamps
It would be lovely if you'd share a sparkly creation with us at Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week.

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #343 - Punches or Dies ( I used a die for the red scalloped frame.)

ADFD Challenge

Hi, There!
The last several times I made a card specifically for the challenge at A Day For Daisies, I somehow managed to miss getting it posted in time.   There are 2 more days until their current challenge - #154:Add Some Wood - closes.
Whew! I made it!

I'm off to run some errands so I don't have to do it in the heavy rain and wind forecast for the next few days.

Thanks for visiting!

It's just a matter of time....

before I'll be outside sweeping leaves myself.   I think sweeping them outside is easier than cleaning the crunched up mess they become when drug inside on the bottom of your shoes.  Just a personal preference.

Here's the story that goes with the card above.  My intention was to make a card for the Autumn/Fall Challenge at House Mouse & Friends and combine it with the new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

and the Critters Challenge at Lawnscaping.  But then I discovered I do not have a fall House Mouse stamp.  I remembered a cute fall Great Impressions stamp I do have and decided to use it for the two later challenges and maybe the current challenge at Great Impressions.  Well, that won't work because the GI challenge is 'Get Your Spook On' and this card is not exactly spooky.  So instead, I will combine it with the Autumnal Colors Challenge at Whimsy Doodles.

I've used my favorite CTMH paper from last year's Fall/Winter catalog, Huntington.  And my new CTMH 'hi' stamp, my previous one having met a watery death down the kitchen drain.

Who needs a paddle? Imagine That!

There's only one more full week in the month of June.  It's hard to believe.   I was so organized at the beginning of the month, with one list of challenge cards I needed to make and another of birthday and anniversary cards I needed to send.  I don't want to post any cards that I haven't sent yet.   But I don't want to miss any challenge deadlines either.   This card, using digis from the Imagine That! Poolside Penguins set, is for Imagine That's June Progressive Challenge  and isn't specifically intended for anyone.  That makes it safe to post.  It will go in either the Send a Smile 4 Kids box or the Operation Write Home box.

While I'm at it, I'll also enter this cool bird in the following challenges:
Creative Corner Challenge - Summertime
Delightful Challenges - Hello Friend
Jellypark Friday Challenge - Seaside
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #326 - By the Sea

That's all for today.  Tomorrow I'll be Guest Designing for the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge Blog.

Howdy!

This card is for the Catch the Bug Western Round Up Challenge. using one of Bugaboo's Digi Images.
If I don't soon catch the Christmas Card Making 'Bug', I'm going to be in big trouble.

I'm also entering this card in these fun challenges:
Love to Scrap Challenge #17 - Anything Goes

Vintage Birthday for my Older Brother + Back to School

The My Grafico's Steampunk Digi Set has this great pocket watch image.  But I goofed when I made up the text document and, without realizing it before printing, had accidently cut off the bottom half.  It then became a challenge, as I am not one to discard things, paper especially.  I did some rummaging in my paper box and found this great paper, flowered on one side and vintage school days images (row of clocks and alphabet letter blocks 'HI') on the back.  I pounced some CTMH brown bag and barn red ink on the clock face and added a CTMH kraft border on the bottom.  This will be going to my brother for his birthday.  I still have 2 weeks to come up with a witty sentiment for inside.  As is, it's a great male card for any occasion.

Challenges into which I am entering this card:
Crafty Creations Challenge #239 - Get Krafty
Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #62 - It's a Male Thing
Whimsy Stamps Challenge #63 - Masculine Cards

And while I had this paper out, I decided to make a simple, masculine 'Back to School' card using a CTMH apple with sentiment stamp in barn red ink.

for these challenges:
Cuttin and Stampin Weekly Challenge #36 - Back to School
Ribbon Carousel Challenge #85 - It's Back to School Time
Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Add a Bow

I think I'm going to bake today.  The cookie jar is empty.

Have a great day!

Life is Full of Disappointment

Please bear with me for a moment while I get something off my chest.  I don't mean I literally need to remove lunch particles, a creepy crawly, or other unwanted article from my person, but I do have something that is bothering me.  In a way, my problem is of the creepy, crawly category.  I am talking about those teeny, tiny sugar ants that have appeared in my kitchen, more specifically in the microwave oven above the stove.  First of all, the microwave is clean, spotless, free of anything even a teeny, tiny ant mighty find as sustenance.  And yet, when I open the door there are always a few ants inside.  I'd simply wipe them out and then use the appliance.   After several days of this, I decided I wasn't going to do that, I was just going to nuke the little buggers.  Here's where the disappointment comes into the picture.  I was hoping they'd pop like popcorn, or maybe jump around like water on a hot skillet, and at the very least, DIE!  But nothing.  Zero.  Nada.  I opened the door and they were still just on walk about in my microwave.  You can cook a fish, a hot dog, veggies in my microwave, but not teeny, tiny, annoying sugar ants.  I needed to share that with all of you.  I knew you'd understand.

Now, today's card.....
This card was created using A.J.’s Digi Globe by Amanda Marks, a piece of junk mail that came with my credit card, a piece of black and white DP (which will make you dizzy if you look at it too long), a die cut from the new CTMH cricut cartridge, Artbooking, CTMH stamp "live life", some bling, CTMH Trinkets Wooden Shapes, and some zigzag stitching on the sewing machine.

It was made specifically for the following challenges:

LEJ Designs Challenge #68 - Holidays + Travel
Through The Craftroom Door - Aug 27-Sept 2 - Anything Goes
Catered Crop Challenge - Map It! Recipe Swap Quickfire
Come and Get It Challenge - Let's Go on a Holiday
That Craft Place Challenge - Stitching Real or Faux
Sweet Stampin Challenge - Journeys, Travel or Destinations
The Artistic Stamper August Challenge - Postcards, Travel and Holidays
Heck of a Challenge - Summer Holidays

Please don't go without scrolling below!!!

Below are 2 cards I made this morning at Joyce's open house.
CTMH has a new cricut cartridge which is responsible for the cuts that make up this 4 layer card.  All we did was glue it together.

And for the month of September CTMH has a pretty sweet deal which lets you get 3 stamp sets for $10 with a $50 purchase.  The stamps used on this card are from 2 of the special sets.  The 3rd set is an alphabet set, upper and lower case letters.

I love lemons! + CTMH Card Class 7/16

Lemon Pie, Lemon cookies, Lemon Pound Cake, Lemon Squares, Lemon Candy, Lemon Angel Food, and have you tried the Lemon Whoppie Pie Mix at A.C.Moore?
The freebie this month at A Creative Need is a lemon slice.  I contemplated making it a slice of lime because Key Lime Cheesecake and Key Lime Fudge are pretty tasty, too. But lemon is my first love when it comes to citrus fruits.
This is my entry for the current challenge at A Creative Need Challenge # 9 - Fresh Fruit.

By the way, I will gladly accept any lemon recipes with which you might like to tempt me.

Here are the cards we made at Joyce's CTMH card class yesterday:

(Sorry, Joyce but I changed this one up a bit when I got home.)
 Now it looks like this.

And I took a bunch of liberties with this card, originally intended to be a baby card, I made some adjustments to I could send it to my grand niece with some cookies she loves.

The little giraffe was cut with the new CTMH cricut cartridge available Aug. 1st!
