Terran
From Transformers Wiki
Terrans (Cybertronus terran)[1] are Transformers "born" on Earth, brought about by Quintus Prime's Emberstone. Instead of being composed of Cybertronian living metal, they are made of Earth's own elements, and their molecular structure looks as organic as it does mechanical. Though their systems do register energon levels, they don't actually use it to survive. Instead, they consume liquid water, though it has to be found in underground pools which likewise bear the touch of Quintus Prime.
The first five Terrans were created by Robby and Mo Malto's contact with the Emberstone, and are bonded to them by cyber-sleeves. Due to this and their adoption by the Malto family, these Terrans are sometimes affectionately known as the Maltobots. The two later Terrans created from Emberstone shards have no such connection with the Maltos and are called the Chaos Terrans.

The first Terran was born millions of years ago when Quintus Prime arrived on Earth. Pursued by the Quintessons—vengeful creations seeking his Emberstone—Quintus created the the Titan Terratronus from the resources of Earth to guard the relic from the forces that the Quintessons had left behind. Witwicky, Part 1
The next two Terrans, Twitch and Thrash, were created when, in the modern day, the siblings Robby and Mo Malto discovered the Emberstone in a cave beneath Witwicky, Pennsylvania. When they activated it, the Emberstone created Twitch and Thrash from the cave water, an act witnessed by Dr. Meridian's Arachnamechs. Having been granted cyber-sleeves that linked them to the newborns, the humans took them to their family farm. Electing to keep Twitch and Thrash a secret, Robby and Mo hid them in their barn, providing them with comic books about the Cybertronian race to inform them of their heritage. The next morning, they had their father, Alex Malto, recite the history of the Autobot/Decepticon war only to learn that Twitch and Thrash felt disconnected from Cybertron and instead sought to learn about Earth. Secret Legacy, Part 1
A later play session allowed Twitch to discover her scanning abilities, letting her take on a drone as an alternate mode. Feeling left out, Thrash was taken to Witwicky so he could scan an alternate mode of his own. Their excursion was interrupted by the arrival of more Arachnamechs. While Twitch managed to dispatch one, the rest were defeated by Optimus Prime, Elita-1 and Megatron. The adults decided that Twitch and Thrash would be best cared for in G.H.O.S.T. custody, only for Meridian to pose as G.H.O.S.T. and abduct them. Scanning the two, Meridian discovered their partially organic make-up, dubbing them as Terrans before he prepared to dissect them. The cyber-sleeves worn by the Malto siblings allowed G.H.O.S.T. to track down the Terrans and rescue them from Meridian's base, Thrash even managing to scan a motorcycle alternate mode in the process. In the aftermath, Optimus agreed to keep the Terrans a secret and allow them to remain with the Maltos, assigning Bumblebee to mentor them. Secret Legacy, Part 2
Though keeping G.H.O.S.T. ignorant of the Terrans, Classified Optimus informed the other Autobots of the existence of Earth-born Transformers. Traditions Decoy With the fate of the AllSpark unknown, Warzone and suspecting that the handful of Cybertronians on Earth represented the last of their kind, the Autobots came to view the Terrans as hope for rebuilding their species. Age of Evolution, Part 1
On Robby and Mo's first day of school, Twitch and Thrash began malfunctioning. Eventually losing their higher functions, the two Terrans made for the cave system that had birthed them. Bumblebee and the Malto children arrived in time for Twitch to cause a cave-in whereupon the Terrans succumbed to stasis lock. Though it was initially feared that they had passed, Robby and Mo splashed enough of Quintus' water on their friends to revive them. Friends and Family
After being forced to remain hidden during a Decepticon attack, Twitch angrily revealed enough of the Terrans' origins to Optimus Prime for him to recognize the Emberstone, he and Bumblebee setting out with the Terrans to retrieve it. No sooner had they claimed the stone did Skywarp and Nova Storm attack, releasing a swarm of Arachnamechs. Outnumbered, Mo beseeched Quintus for aid, the Prime activating the Emberstone to create three new Terrans; Nightshade, Jawbreaker and Hashtag. Age of Evolution, Part 1
With Megatron and Dot Malto held prisoner by Meridian, Optimus concocted a plan to rescue them, having the new Terrans pose as Decepticons who would turn over Optimus, Twitch and Thrash to Meridian in exchange for safe haven. Though the ruse was found out in short order, and the group was forced to contend with Meridian's base defences, they managed to rescue Dot and Megatron. In the aftermath, the three new Terrans were brought to live on the Malto farm. Age of Evolution, Part 2
Over the course of the next several weeks, Hashtag and Nightshade would gain alt-modes and abilities much like their older siblings. Hashtag acquiring a G.H.O.S.T. surveillance van that gave her the ability to connect to any Wi-Fi point on the planet. Hashtag: Oops While Nightshade obtained an owl beast mode that granted them flight and energy powers. Missed Connection Jawbreaker meanwhile decided to take his time when it came to deciding his alt-mode, feeling that vehicles weren't right for him. Outtakes
Seeing the Terrans as a renewed chance of hope for their species, Megatron took the group and their Malto siblings to visit Spacebridge Memorial Park. There he taught them about the Autobot/Decepticon war and the cost it had on both Cybertron and Earth. However, Thrash repeatedly questioned Megatron on what he thought was placing an unfair burden on the group to clean up the Decepticon's mess. He was pulled back when Mo pointed out he was hoping to teach them to not make the same mistakes their predecessors made. During the trip, the group encountered the lost Decepticon Shockwave who regarded the Terrans as abominations. Warzone
When taken by Robby and Mo to Philadelphia for the first time, the Terrans found themselves tricked into entering an underground Bot Brawl fighting ring, where they coincidentally ran into Bumblebee. When the mind-controlled Grimlock was revealed to be Bee and Jawbreaker's opponent, they managed to free the Autobot. Leaving the Dinobot to cool off, the Terrans briefly took their leave, only to discover that he'd vanished when they returned. Home, Part 1
The search for Grimlock soon turned into a battle with the returning Mandroid. After taking down one of Mandroid's newest Arachnamech creations, Hashtag was enthralled by Mandroid, turning her size and Wi-fi powers against the rest. Empowered by a mysterious energy that originated back from the cave where the Terrans were born, the other Terrans managed to free their sister, racing back to Witwicky in hopes of getting home before their parents woke up. Home, Part 2
Grimlock crossed path with the Malto kids and chased them to the farm, where Twitch used her EMP to knock him out and take him to the Dugout before he reawakened in a panicked state. Jawbreaker struck up a friendship with the Dinobot. While at a quarry, he scanned a Stygimoloch fossil for his alt mode, but Jawbreaker's innocent enthusiasm inadvertently triggered Grimlock's memories of his time enslaved by Mandroid, causing him to go on a rampage through Witwicky. Jawbreaker then used his new mode to calm down Grimlock. A Stygi Situation The Terrans and the kids later praticed in the recroom at G.H.O.S.T. HQ before Mandroid's interference with Wheeljack's tech changed the simulation into a battle against a holographic version of Megatron. Hashtag managed to shut it down but Robby was hurt defeating Megatron in the simulation. Disarmed
