Sacred treasure
From Transformers Wiki
A sacred treasure (神器 jingi, also god item[1] and sacred implement[2]) is an artifact from the oft mysterious past of Cybertron. They brim with supernatural energy and many are used by forces such as Primus and the Quintessons to create "super robot lifeforms", often in the form of Transformers.[3]
Artifacts identified as sacred treasures include:
- Vector Sigma[1]
- The Creation Matrix[1]
- The AllSpark[1]
- The Chrono Matrix[4]
Weapons formed from Mini-Cons can be referred to as "sacred treasures", although they bear little relation to the above items.
- The "Three Sacred Treasures" (三種の神器 Sanshu no Jingi)[5]
- The Star Saber
- The Cosmotector
- The Astro Blaster
- The God Micron Blaster[6]

The AllSpark of another universe's Cybertron was identified by Optimus Prime and Refraktor to be a sacred treasure. Its power as a sacred treasure was transferred to the EOS R5 camera known as Focus One, which in turn could grant life to unliving machines. This power also had the unusual effect of affecting already living machines by giving Optimus Prime and Refraktor new EOS R5 alternate modes. Notes
- In Japan, jingi (神器) is a term primarily used to refer to the Three Sacred Treasures, regalia of the Emperor of Japan. The term also finds use in other fictional media for godlike or mystical items.
- As you may have gathered from the media that use this term, it is primarily used by Hirofumi Ichikawa in his works.
- On the Japanese World of the Transformers website, jingi was translated as "GOD ITEM", which sounds a bit awkward in English. Transformers Wiki initially attempted to localize it as "sacred implement" (which went on to be used by The AllSpark Almanac II) before deciding to align it with pretty much every other translation of the term outside Transformers.
