Crossovers
- Punisher (
2010)- Accessories: Gun
- The Punisher is a retool of Captain America with a new head and a skull on his chest/hood, transforming into a black and white Humvee. Unlike Captain America's shield, which mounts on the back of the vehicle, he comes with a large gatling gun that mounts on the car's roof.
- This toy, along with a blue Human Torch redeco, was showcased at San Diego Comic-Con 2009, but was reported canceled the next year.[1] The molding didn't completely go to waste, though, as the Punisher's gun was later used for the Iron Man retool of Captain America.
Notes
- The Punisher was conceived by Gerry Conway, who also wrote a couple of episodes for the Generation 1 cartoon.
- The Punisher has been voiced by a small number of Transformers voice actors, consisting of Daran Norris, James Arnold Taylor, Robin Atkin Downes, Brian Bloom, Sean Chiplock, Roger Craig Smith and Bill Millsap.
- Sandstorm's portrayal in the 2005 IDW continuity is heavily inspired by the Punisher, with the story in which his vigilante murdered even titled Punishment. Compounding the homage, Salvation shows him recording his thoughts in a "Battle Diary".
- He's not a nice guy.
