Gerard F. Conway (born September 10, 1952) is an American writer. Conway was originally a comic book writer, and is probably best-remembered for writing Spider-Man's infamous "Death of Gwen Stacy" storyline. His prolific output includes hundreds of Marvel and DC books, and he helped create a number of enduring characters, including the Punisher, Vixen, Power Girl, Firestorm, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Killer Croc, Jason Todd, and countless others.

After serving as Marvel's editor-in-chief (succeeding Marv Wolfman), he turned to writing for television. Starting out with scripts for The Transformers, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and Centurions, he later moved on to live-action dramas like Diagnosis Murder and Law & Order. He was a producer on Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
