Magneous is a powerful, living rock from the Infernac Universe. This obsidian warrior can split himself into accessories for other Transformers.[1]

- Infernac Universe Magneous (Deluxe Armorizer, 2024)
- Known designers: Mark Maher (Hasbro), Takio Ejima (TakaraTomy)[2]
- Released in the first wave of Legacy: United Deluxes, Magneous transforms from robot to a rocky SUV that loosely resembles the Mad Max style. Like previous lines' Weaponizers, Fossilizers, and Junkions, Magneous can split apart to form weapon accessories for other characters. Unlike previous lines' Weaponizers, Fossilizers, and Junkions, only smaller parts of Magneous (namely, his arms and shins/feet) split off, leaving a mostly-intact main body behind. In addition, the armor plates on the back of his forearms and the sides of his legs can be removed without disassembling the main figure, though it leaves his alt mode without any back wheels if you do. The roof of his truck mode can also be removed from his back to act as a shield; like the Junkions, none of these pieces need to be removed for him to transform.
- His weapon can be held by the handle to resemble a pickaxe, or by a post on the side to hold it as a crossbow. In alt mode, it can mount on the top of the bed for storage, or mount onto the grill to form a battering ram. His feet and shins can be removed and mounted onto the head of the weapon, forming a significantly larger hammer.
- Unusually for a figure of the Weaponizer play pattern, his removable shins do not feature 5mm posts or holes; the shins can only fit on top of his axe.
- Though the packaging photos depict his parts being worn by Animated Universe Bumblebee, the instructions demonstrate how to separate Magneous into parts being worn by Animated Universe Optimus Prime.
- Magneous was extensively retooled into fellow Infernac Nucleous, and later redecoed with a new head into Calcitron.
Notes
- Concept art for Magneous by Mark Maher included a mottled sea green deco based on the Rock Lord Sticks 'n Stones (which also featured a chestplate shaped like a ghoulish face with glowing eyes, nose and mouth!) and a gray deco inspired by basaltic scoria.[3]
