Peet *Day 5*

Well, today is our last day of inspiration with Peet so I saved one of my all-time favorite cards of hers for you. Take a look: The script, the flower, the gingham, the circular element, the stitching... this card is a testament to what makes Peet sooooo great!
Here is my take. I went with different colors but a similar design:

And isn't this bird stamp, Penny Black 4157K Nature's Day, so fun?!
Wanna see some incredible stamping with this image?? visit Elizabeth's blog HERE!

For my card, I began by stamping Penny Black 4157K Nature's Day with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock. I colored the image using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and Copic markers. After coloring, I cut out the image. The card base was distressed with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I stamped Penny Black 1999L Letter Background with Antique Linen Distress Ink, removing some ink with a baby wipe before stamping. The multi-colored strip of paper behind the circle was colored using Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Thanks soooo much for visiting this week. I have been truly honored to share Peet's cards!!! And I hope you'll stop by tomorrow, I have a set of 3 monochromatic cards to share with ya. Happy Friday!

Peet *Day 4*

Here is today's card by Peet: I love all of her elegant layers on this card! The beautiful floral papers look amazing! And the overall design of this card is FAB, too! I just can't get enough of those big scallops and pretty sentiment tag.
Here is my take:

I began by stamping the floral image (Penny Black 3388K Unfold) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The flowers were colored with PrismaColor colored pencils and then cut and and adhered to another pre-stamped piece of white cardstock. I created the background on this cardstock by inking my acrylic block with Broken China, Crushed Olive, and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, spritzing the block with water and then pressing it onto my cardstock. The background of the card base also began as white cardstock. Next, it was inked with Broken China and Crushed Olive Distress Ink. The script (Penny Black 1999L Letter Background) was stamped with Broken China Distress Ink, removing some ink with a baby wipe before stamping. The Sentiment banner was lightly distressed with Broken China Distress Ink. Sentiment by Penny Black 30-009 Clearly In Love.

Thanks again for stopping by and for all of your lovely comments! See you tomorrow... it's almost Friday! :)

Peet *Day 3*

Are you ready for cuteness OVERLOAD today?? Check out this adorable card by Peet:

And here's my take. I was especially inspired by Peet's overall design with the images in the center of the card, a white border below, and a bow between the two: I began by stamping Penny Black Posy Petals 4151K with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Express paper. I stamped this image two times so I could cut and adhere the flower and leaf portions to the original with dimensional adhesive. The image was colored with Copic markers. Next, I added Distress Ink to the background (Pumice Stone, Wild Honey, Broken China, and Brushed Corduroy). The card base was created using Penny Black Mix and Match Cardstock which was also stamped with Penny Black 30-068 using Fired Brick Distress Ink.
Thanks for looking! I'll be back tomorrow with a VERY elegant card by Peet! :)

Peet *Day 2*

This next card by the lovely Peet is going to TOTALLY knock your socks off:And here's my very humble take:

I began by stamping and coloring the flower (Penny Black 4160K cheerful) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next I colored it using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and Pastel Pencils. The music background (Penny Black 2025M) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock and then distressed with Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The light background began as white paper and was distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I stamped 40-046 Circular Design by Penny Black using Antique Linen Distress Ink directly on this background. The green cardbase was created using Penny Black Mix and Match cardstock.

And before I go I figured it was about time that I did a little enabling! :) Penny Black has just released a FAB new catalog called A Touch of Whimsy. Seriously, how cute is that name? The two stamps I used today are a couple of my favs from the new release:
4160K cheerful 40-046 circular design You can check out the rest of the catalog HERE. Thanks for stopping by today. See you tomorrow, my friends!

Inspired by...Peet

Before I share this week's featured artist I want to be sure to thank each and everyone of you for your overwhelming love, support, and incredible comments regarding my announcement on Saturday. I was truly taken aback by your kindness and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Okay, enough mushy stuff; right? :) This week's featured artist is the AMAZINGLY talented Peet Roeven! I love everything Peet creates. Her attention to detail is astounding and her cards are true masterpieces! Here's our first inspiration card from Peet: I love the dimension and paper piecing of the butterflies. I also really love the subtle texture of the white cardstock paired with the pretty blue. Finally, Peet's stitching takes this card to another level!

Now before I show my take on Peet's card I just had to tell you I have discovered that Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and Penny Black Brushstroke stamps are a match made in heaven! I've used them both to create my card.

I was especially inspired by Peet's fresh color scheme and blue and white background panels on her card. Here's my take: I began by coloring directly on my stamp (Penny Black 4043K efflorescence) with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers. I stamped this on white cardstock and distressed the background using Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy and Broken China Distress Ink. Next I inked the script stamp (Penny Black 1999L) with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to stamp directly on the floral panel, removing some ink with a baby wipe before stamping. The white background was embossed (Sizzix Texture Fade Embossing Folder) and then lightly distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Card base created from Penny Black Mix and Match Cardstock and sentiment by Penny Black (30-014).

Thanks again for stopping by! See you tomorrow with another AWESOME card by Peet! HUGS!
