I am not quilting much right now. The garden and being outdoors has been more the focus. I did get a couple more wonky blocks made.
I have a third one ready to sew.

Wonky quilt finished
It's finished with a wonky bias edge. It's still pinned on top of another quilt
Backing and sewing on the binding. Look, Wanda, my first ever Kaffe Faseett print.
Mosier spring wildflowers
Last week we checked out the wildflowers near Mosier. It's still a little early but the balsam root was spectacular. And so were the clouds...
John took these photos with his camera. None of my photos are worth posting.

A contrast in neighborhoods
Yesterday we ran errands in our own neighborhood and today we ran errands in The Pearl. We drove to the Pearl and parked at REI, where we shopped. The drive seemed fraught with danger... bicycles and pedestrians and cars all jumbled together.
The two neighborhoods are quite different. Here are photos from our neighborhood, walking toward Hawthorne:
Calendulas at Sunnyside elementary school
Huge paper flowers in a shop window on Hawthorne.
These were taken in The Pearl today:
This guy was balancing on a ball while juggling. The photos were taken through the windshield.

View from the neighbors
We strive to give all our neighbors a nice view. I wish they all responded in kind. One neighbor sent us this photo. They get a better view of our trees in bloom than we do.

Wonky blocks sewn together
I sewed my nine wonky blocks together. It's quilted and backed. I need to choose a binding, make the binding, cut the edge and sew on the binding.
It looks so much better sewn together. Here it is before.
