It's time for another challenge at My Craft Spot. This week is all about wishing big - for birthdays! My niece will be celebrating her birthday next month so I decided to take this opportunity to make a special card for her.
I used Paper Dolls Teen Scene for the girl at the side of my card. There was a "7" on her shirt, but that did not seem appropriate. As Sophie is a HUGE fan of One Direction, I used my Gypsy to change the 7 to 1D using Cuttin' Up. I used Opposites Attract for the number 15.
The lacy pennant was cut using a die from My Craft Spot's Lacy Banners Metal Dies. I then wove some Cotton Candy baker's twine (also from My Craft Spot) through the pennant, leaving the ends long enough to thread through a button and tie in a bow. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's "Birthday Wishes" set. (The actual stamp is on one line, but I stamped twice, inking one word each time, in order to have my sentiment fit the pennant.)
The papers I used on this card are from the very first paper stack I ever purchased! The cover is long gone so I have no clue who the manufacturer is anymore...
Please head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the design team has made. The projects this week are FABULOUS!! And don't forget to link up your own birthday creation too!
