Everything is better with COFFEE - as long as it's Starbucks!

Hi Scrappy Peeps - I decided to play along with my good friends at the Scrap Our Stash Blog - and enter their "April Wheel of Challenges - Tick Tac Toe"  I was on the DT for this awesome group for a few years and am so happy I had a chance to play along with them this month!!
I decided to follow the top row of the board - selecting Stripped Paper / Fussy Cutting/ Any Page Maps Sketch -
and here is my take on the challenge:
I just LOVE this Coffee and Friends Collection from Echo Park! I thought it would work great for this photo I took looking outside of my husband's hospital room at New York Presbyterian Hospital this past December, overlooking the George Washington Bridge!
There is a Starbucks in the lobby of the hospital and let me tell you - it was a great treat to help get me through the last 8 months as we have been in and out of there, while battling his heart failure after a massive heart attack last August. I am so thankful he is doing well now, and we treat every day as a blessing!

Here are some close ups for you:

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek! I had lots of fun creating this layout and I hope you like it!
Take care and ((HUG)) your loved ones every single day!

Let's see your Sunshine projects. All projects must be new projects for this challenge and are due by December 5th. All entries will be eligible for a Random drawing for a $10 MLSS gift certificate.

You can enter your layout in the comments - here is the Facebook Link for the Challenge

I used Simple Stories Vintage Lemon Twist collection - using the "Happy Scrappy Bag" from from My Little Scrapbook Store.

I LOVE the colors and the depth of the printed patterns, the foam stickers and ephemera are so pretty! - It's a great collection, and I can't wait to play with it again!

Here is my layout for your inspiration:

I chose a photo (Selfie) that I took of my husband and I out in the SUNSHINE, while he was at the rehab center recovering for a massive heart attack he had in the middle of August!  He is truly a MIRACLE Man - and still with us because a great team of Doctors, and the amazing outpouring of prayers that were sent his way.

He is most definitely My Sunshine!

Here are some close ups:

I also adde some FUN Unicorn Pearls from Pink & Main

I painted a piece of Dusty Attic honeycomb chipboard black, and then sprayed it with Ranger Distress Oxide Spray in Salvaged Patina.

I love the sticker sheet that comes with collection too - the banner is already made for you - the center black frame was already cut out - and I added a piece of cardstock with journaling about the photo.  That "My Honey" Flair is so much fun too!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Please be sure to check out the My Little Scrapbook Store Scrapbook Layouts and More and the My Little Scrapbook Store Online Crops Facebook pages and play along with us!

Challenge YOUrself #86 Celebrate "LOVE" February Challenge

Hi everyone!  Happy February!  I truly hope you and your family are doing well.  It is time for this month's Challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!  This month - we encourage you to Celebrate LOVE! - and remember to include YOUrself in one of your photos!

Here is my Design Team inspiration layout for you:

I made this layout using lots of stuff from Vicki Boutin's "Storyteller" Collection from the My Little Scrapbook Store, and a photo from my birthday dinner, with my hubby, (and our family,) at our favorite Chinese restaurant back in 2017 -All things that I LOVE.  We always have a great dinner there and look forward to indoor restaurant dining again someday...

I got back into using my sprays- new and old and had fun getting my “mixed media” mojo back in the groove! I also enjoy “fussy cutting” some people are not fans of it - but I find it so relaxing and love how it enhances my layouts! What about you? Do you enjoy fussy cutting?

Here are some close-ups and a few photos of when I sprayed the base page before assembling for you:

I am also entering this layout in the My Little Scrapbook Store Winter Wonderland Crop Mixed Media Challenge #10

I hope you find some time to play along with us at the Challenge YOUrself BLOG this month!  I look forward to seeing what YOU create!

Challenge YOUrself #80 "Lost in Paradise"

It's time for our August Challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog - this month we challenge you to create a layout about VACATION - and be sure to include YOU in one of the photos!

I used a photo of my hubby and I when we docked in Cartagena, Columbia, before going through the Panama Canal, on our 2018 West Bound Panama Canal Cruise on the Disney Wonder.

I LOVE these papers from the Graphic 45's Lost in Paradise Collection - I used 2 of the same papers for the base page - fussy cutting some of the birds out, inked the edges and then pop dotted them over the base page to give it a 3D look.
I also highlighted some of the birds and leaves with Wink of Stella and Nuvo Glitter Markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you and your family are doing well during these crazy times, and that we can one day go on vacations again!

Scrap Our Stash "Star" Sketch Challenge "Magical Adventure"

Hello everyone!  I hope you and your families are doing well during these crazy times!  I'm sharing a layout I made for the Scrap Our Stash Blog's July Sketch Challenge  - Head on over to the Scrap Our Stash Blog for the Challenge Rules and Prize info - and lots more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

I decided to use a larger photo than what is in the sketch - and still try to stay true to the placement and elements of the sketch.  Since we are not traveling these days, I picked a photo of happier times -when we cruised out of NYC on the Disney Magic in October of 2017 to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary with our family!

I used yellow star patterned paper and punch out stars from star pattern paper too and used them as embellishments.
Here are some close-ups for you:

A great time was had by all! - Wishing we will be able to cruise again soon, but I am doubtful when that will be.  I'll just have to keep cherishing and scrapping our memories!
Stay Safe and Be Well!
I hope you can join us and play along with The Scrap Our Stash Blog this month!

Challenge YOUrself #79 - Buckingham Palace

Hi everyone!!  Happy July!!!  I hope this post finds YOU and YOUr families doing well, and YOU are all keeping safe! I also hope YOU can find some time to play along with us this month, at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!!  We have this great sketch to inspire YOU!  Please use it to help YOU get YOUr "craft on!" I can't wait to see what YOU will come up with!!

Here is my take on the sketch - I used a photo of my husband and I from our trip to London in October of 2018.  Phil had a bright green Seahawks rain jacket on - so I decided to print it out in sepia tones, so it would work better with the papers I wanted to use!

I used papers from BoBunny's Weekend Market, and lots of STUFF that I had in my stash!
I have to admit, I did create my list all of the "ingredients" used, but we are having some work done on our house, and my "scrap-room" has become the "storage area" for a few days.  I can't access it, or my notebook with the list of all the items used.  Suffice it to say, I mixed up lots of paper lines, and embellishments, and I LOVE how it turned out - I hope you do too!
Here are some close ups for you:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I really can't wait to see what YOU create! - Please check out PRIZE INFO and Challenge Rules - plus LOTS more INSPIRATION from the rest of the Design team at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!!
Be well and stay safe!

SOS - Sketch Challenge - "Chicago Pizza Tour"

Hello Everyone - I hope this post finds you all doing well!
It is time for this month's Sketch Challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog
We encourage you to play along with us, using the sketch below as your inspiration - and also be sure to use KRAFT PAPER and at least ONE METAL EMBELLISHMENT!!

I decided to scrap a few photos that were taken at the beginning of February - while on a Chicago Pizza Tour, during a sales meeting that I planned for the new company I work for.
Everyone had a great time, and it was a great team building event. We took a beautiful luxury bus to 3 different famous pizza restaurants in Chicago along with a great guide who told us all about each location, pizza facts, and info about Chicago.  If you are ever in Chicago - be sure to check out Chicago Pizza Tours!!  The photos in this layout are from our visit to Flo and Santo's  - famous for their thin crust pizza.  It was really good -but they cut their round pies into squares in Chicago -  very different than the way we do it in New Jersey!

For my base page, I used a piece of Kraft Resist Paper, from a 12x12 pad of Tim Holtz Idea-ology, that I have had forever!!  I then used a TWC Mini Brick Stencil, along with a Nuvo brush and Taylored Expressions Earl Grey Ink to create the brick design in all 4 corners of the layout.   I also used it to ink all of the edges of my papers, including the torn ones -
I like how it all came out.
Here are the sales team members who attended the meeting  - It was so great to be able to put faces to names and voices! Everyone was so nice, and the Pizza Tour was really a hit!
I created a little tag with journaling to tuck behind the photo of the group.
Here is the back of the tag and you can see the metal brads that I added for the challenge.
You can also see the splatters of Glimmer Mist that I used.
More metal brads some FUN metal Flair, and those cool inked/distressed edges!
(and those square pieces of pizza too! LOL!)
I used different types and fonts of letters for my title.  I love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you can find some time to escape and play along with us this month at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!  Head on over there to see more inspiration from the other Design Team members, Contest Rules, Prize Info and where you can link up your layout too!
