Meet Cute

This layout was made with the inspiration of a sketch found on the Fancy Pants blog.
I created the page using my Dewdrops kit. The papers and die cuts came from part of the May ScrapRoom Doubleshot and were included in my month's Counterfeit kit.

Daddy's Little Girl

I started this layout a couple years ago as a lift of a Gabrielle Pollacco layout.  However, I just could not put it together the way I had wanted. A few fresh products and a new sketch gave me ideas to complete it in order to include the page in my albums.

The fresh papers and alphabets came from The Scraproom May kits.  The pink ribbon came from my May Counterfeit kit: Dewdrops.

Hope that you have a terrific day!!  Be blessed!!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

Hope your day is filled with lots of craftiness!!

Using the Jillibean Soup Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup line, I created this layout for The Scraproom kit club.  The flowers and a few of the little doodle circles were fussy cut; and, I added the small circles with a dimensional adhesive:

The full kit can be purchased at The Scraproom

All of the designer's ideas can be found on the Ideas page.

Have a marvelous and blessed day!!

A PageMaps Sketch and The ScrapRoom May 2015

Sharing a layout and a picture of The Scraproom's Main May kit as I am honored to guest design for them for a few month's. I'll start with posting my take on the month's TSR sketch.  It is a Pagemaps sketch.
My take was pretty literal.  The papers are from Pebbles Jen Hadfield  Cottage Living. I just love the papers that Tammy chose for this grouping.  I fussy cut the flowers and added a little ribbon, stitching, buttons and bling.

Here's a picture of the kit available at The Scraproom:

Hope you are having a great day! I'm so glad that it is finally feeling Spring-like outside!! Take care!

May 2015 Counterfeit Kit: Dewdrops

           Inspiration:

          Inspiration:

The Counterfeit Challenge Blog hosts a challenge every month to put together kits using your stash in order to use what you have.  It is tons of fun and very inspirational.  This month, while hopping the design teams blogs, I made notes and used something from each designer.  Please see the notes below:

Guest Designer Susan: wood veneers
Julene: chipboard
Leslie: doilie images -- I was going to use stamps like her but chose a packaging scrap instead
Lisa: modern approach and gold
Lynnette: die cut abundance
Margie: feminine, pretty and stitch kit with pins
Stephanie: hearts and alpha's
Susanne: metal flowers and green
Jemma: journal pieces

Some of the ladies used some similar pieces but I wanted to pick at least one idea from each ladies kit.  Once I got my mind on using some newer items and connecting it with some old, my ideas flew much more steadily.  The watercolor roses were adding a current trend to the classic design on the original Jennie Bowlin kit.  They were my starting point and motivated the color scheme and direction of my kit.  I got my head stuck on the Sassafras Lass papers and was pleased to find that back side of the green paper from the Jenni Bowlin kit had the pretty soft blue hearts on them.

I was excited that I had cupcake liners at home in perfect colors for the Dewdrop kit.  I will probably make flowers out of those.

Thanks for the visit!!  Hope that you play along.  Be blessed!!
