A Coffee Cozy

Using Color Throwdown #223.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Not just for socks or sweater vests....

Argyle originated in Scotland and made a booming debut into America by Brooks Brothers.  It brings depth to fabric creating a natural dimensional look within the layers of threads.  Many people associate it with a "preppy" look, appealing to scholarly wannabes.

I chose argyle for it's masculine charm for my father's birthday card.  Happy Birthday Dad!!

Mojo Monday provided the sketch #274.

Word for 2013

Did you have a word for 2012? I did.  If so, did you remember your word, or refer to it throughout the year?  I didn't; and therefore, it could not have made the difference that I had hoped that it would make.

But, this year is different.  I need a reminder; and, it will hang in a spot where I will look at it every day.

What is "Enough"?  It is letting go of perfectionism and being content.  It is focusing on thankfulness because our needs are being met.  I need to realize everyday that I am enough, I have enough and all that I am blessed with is more than "Enough".

If you would like to read a deeper, and more spiritual, perspective, you may visit my other blog, Rachau Respite.

Happy New Year!

AaaaaaChoo! Please excuse me.  Dusting off the old blog....

I guess you could say that I had been taking a sabbatical of sorts....but, for various reasons I couldn't get myself creating this past year.  It was a tumultuous year in many ways.  One of which is that my best friend from high school committed suicide.  I just cannot fathom her desperation.  So, so sad.  It just makes me want to reach out to anyone who has lost hope.  God has a plan for each one of us, but sometimes we have to struggle through horrible things that we cannot understand.

Needless to say, I am looking forward to a New Year!  I will be starting it out in full crafty swing as a moderator at The ScrapRoom.  I expect to post frequent ideas, tips and tutorials on their forums.  I will post images here.  But, if you are looking for more details about how any of my projects are created, you may wish to become a site member at The ScrapRoom.  It is free.

Hugs! Until tomorrow......
