Self-disclosure may happen greatly in social media because nonverbal cues were reduced and their anonymity feature, while they also control their content distribution to certain boundaries based on their own privacy management. The purposes of this research are to know motivation of ASKfm users to disclose their personal information to anonymous questions and how privacy rule criteria such as gender, culture, and context make them want to disclose their personal information to anonymous questions. By using in-depth interview, data were collected from three males and three females aged 18 to 24 years old. They had ASKfm accounts, had answered anonymous questions at least five times, had minimum 100 likes in total, and had revealed personal information to the anonymous questions. ASKfm involved personal evaluation towards rewards and costs received by the users. Participants were motivated to disclose their personal information to anonymous questions to get enjoyment by receiving and answering many anonymous questions as well as relationship building. The motivations indirectly caused self-presentation in which some participants promoted their ASKfm accounts in other social media to get more questions. Collectivistic participants received benefit on enjoyment, while individualistic participants who received benefit on relationship building and maintenance. Participants were more careful in managing disclosures because they were aware of possible risks and possibility of widely personal information distribution to unknown publics by filtering the questions rather than changing the Privacy Settings.

We live in a world where many cultures and languages merge together. It is concerned with how to develop relationships among people from different backgrounds in order to studying and working effectively in the different cultural background environment. Therefore, it is clear that intercultural conflict may occur during the communication process between people from different backgrounds. This research examines cultural differences which caused conflict on Morning Sunshine Project held by AIESEC in President University in 2016. The purposes of this research are to know what makes the intercultural conflict occur among Exchange Participants of AIESEC in President University and to know how the Exchange Participants of AIESEC in President University solve those intercultural conflicts. This research will employ qualitative methodology with descriptive qualitative approach. By using an online interview, data were collected from 5 Exchange Participants who come from 5 different countries. This research shows that intercultural conflict is not only about two parties with different cultural background who fight against each other but also about the uncomfortable feelings because of cultural differences and stereotype between individuals. To solve the intercultural conflict, participants chose collaboration, accommodation and avoidance as their conflict resolution.

Indonesia is a country that is rich in culture, so it provides many ideas, ideas, and even insights for creative agencies, one of which is the Marjan Syrup Ad in 2011 and 2018 which successfully combines Indonesian local culture with Western culture. This study will examine the advertisement using Seymour Chatman's Narrative Structure Theory, which in-depth explains the plot, setting, characters, and main ideas in advertising using the Stories and Discourse components by showing the objectives of making 2011 and 2018 Marjan Ads. The results of the study show two things, in terms of story and discourse. First, the narratives in the two advertisements show the richness of Indonesian culture juxtaposed with Western cultures, such as pencak silat with hip-hop as well as puppet robotics. Second, in the flow of discourse, there is an atmosphere of togetherness, and the right moment of celebration to consume the product.

The popularity of Japanese popular culture in Indonesia, especially anime and manga, has made the growth of anime and manga fans increase. Despite the fact that Indonesia and Japan share differences in language, cultural and geographical aspects, but people who become fans of anime and manga keeps amplifying. This research, therefore, was aimed to study fans of anime and manga in terms of seeking aspects that make people become fans and changes they have experienced as fans of anime and manga. Popularity of social media have grown since the early of 2000. They have eased people in exchanging information and sustaining relationship. Although inferiority complex may have significant impacts on social interactions, adolescents seem to be unaware or dismiss problems caused by inferiority complex. Thus, investigating inferiority complex and its relationship with social interactions in adolescents may provide more insights on the impacts of inferiority complex toward adolescents. The present study aims to investigate the correlation between inferiority complex and social interactions in adolescents. The present study applies a correlational research. Data is collected using a convenience sampling technique by delivering an online questionnaire to 140 adolescents aged 10 to 19 years old. The findings of the present study show a strong and positive relationship between inferiority complex and social interaction, with a Pearson correlation value of 0.705. Implications and suggestions for further studies are also discussed.

Consumptive behaviour has shifted as a common and expected act as a result of globalization. Several previous studies have shown that such consumption habits are influenced not only by brand quality and price, but also by psychological factors such as peer pressure. Because communication barriers are absent, an individual's proclivity to follow others emerges as motivation. The goal of this study is to find a link between the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon and consumer behaviour. A quantitative method with a correlational research approach was used in this study. The information was gathered by sending online FoMO and consumer behaviour questionnaires to 125 millennials aged 20 to 38 years old, using a convenience sampling technique. With a Pearson correlation value of 0.970, this study found a positive correlation between FoMO and consumer behaviour among the millennial generation. According to the discussion, millennials' socially driven characteristics refer to millennials' proclivity to stay connected and follow the society to which they belong, with a greater emphasis on social achievement, and socioeconomically introverted as the proclivity to engage in individual activities and spend money on products or services for the sake of enjoyment, also known as selfsatisfaction, can cause a high level of FoMO. This means that millennials' proclivity to stay connected and spend money on self-satisfying products or services contributes significantly to their FoMO level and the likelihood of resulting consumptive behaviour.

Children are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has lasted nearly three years. The pandemic condition, which requires everyone to stay at home and interact at home, has a negative impact on the development of children's social interactions, particularly their socialization skills. It was discovered that there was a delay in the development of children's socialization due to hampered social learning processes, lack of direct social interaction, lack of social stimulation, and so on, causing children to grow up as individuals who were shy, inferior, and lacked social confidence, necessitating an intensive effort to accelerate their socialization skills so that children's mental development is not hampered, and they can re-adapt to their peers. This article is based on our research, in which we examine the interplay between political protest and street art practices in Turkey with specific reference to the recent 'Occupy Gezi' movement and its aftermath. We propose to conceive street art as a participatory political practice with a full range of different forms and styles (graffiti, stencils, posters, installations, performances, etc.), which employs three interconnected strategies: (1) utilizing urban public space as a privileged site of political visibility; (2) renegotiating the boundaries between art, political activism, and communication; (3) inviting its audience to engage in political agency. Our research necessarily takes into account methods of reapproprating and disseminating works of street art -particularly via digital media, which, in this era of networked social movements, serve to expand the scope of public space from the streets to online communities. After tracing the blossoming of street art in Turkey within the creation of an oppositional political aesthetics from the 1970s to the present day -in the historical context of a changing political milieu -we analyse the specific case of the Gezi Park protests, where street art became visible for a wider public and significantly contributed to the rebellious character of the movement in distinct ways.

In this era of globalization, more and more developments are taking place in this country. More and more foreign companies are established in Indonesia, so English is an important language that must be learned. The implementation of the activity is teaching English using the Total Physical Response and Audio Lingual Method at SD Islam Plus Al-Marzukiyah. Which in learning activities uses learning media such as audio and flash cards. Then given practice questions related to the material that has been taught. By using the Total Physical Response and Audio Lingual methods in learning English, SDI Plus Al-Marzukiyah students are more active and enthusiastic in learning English in class. They are also more enthusiastic about learning and prefer English lessons even though some of them are still in the process of getting used to learning English.

The focus of this study is journalism in Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city, home to numerous print media and was a hotspot for Indonesia's independence struggle against the colonial ruler. It utilises Bourdieu's conceptions on field, capital, and habitus as the main framework to elaborate tensions, resistance, and dynamics in journalism during the final years of the colonial period and the ear of Old Order, New Order and Reform. Analysis on archives and interviews with key sources found that the journalistic field in Surabaya, and Indonesia in general, was linked closer to politics during the Colonial and Old Order eras, characterized by resistance against colonial ruler and partisanship in supporting the newly founded political parties. However, this character shifted drastically during the New Order and Reform eras during which Indonesia's journalism was more closely connected to economics that created the emergence of commercial press. Surabaya Post, the Surabaya-based local newspaper that dominated the newspaper market in East Java Province during 1970s-1990s positioned itself as an evening newspaper while all other newspapers were morning newspaper. It also positioned itself as independent while almost all other big newspapers at the time were partisan and became the megaphone for political parties. This positioning was carefully chosen by Surabaya Post in order to gain more financial reward. It marked the emergence of commercial press and the shift of dominant external power influencing the dynamics of journalism from politics to economics.

This paper investigates discourses related to the notion of pribumi (indigenous people) and Anies Baswedan offered through opinion articles published by Seword.com. This opinion portal has been actively criticizing Anies Baswedan, the Governor of Jakarta since his candidacy for the 2017 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, the hardest fought and most segregating election ever held in Indonesia. The campaign and related events leading to the election and afterward had consumed the attention not only Jakarta voters but also most of the Indonesian people. The problem of segregation, the fear of nation disunity, the rise of intolerant discourses and actions, mostly related to religious identity were debated throughout Indonesia. Social media, online news outlets, online pages, blogs and online opinion portals were the boiling venues for such segregating discourses. This warring minds of the public have not ceased after Jakarta Election Commission officially announced Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno as the elected governor and vice governor of Jakarta. It was reflected through the quick, almost instant, online outcry criticizing Anies because of the term pribumi (indigenous people) he used in his acceptance speech as Jakarta Governor on Monday, 16 October 2017. Those critics lambasted Anies as implicitly yet deliberately segregating Jakarta people even more. This research employed critical discourse analysis in investigating how do opinion articles published in Seword.com portray Anies in relation to indigenous people-related issues.
