Is this task still in development? It's been sitting on the board for 3 weeks.

@santhosh Commtech is pulling this back into our backlog; we've received little feedback on the wish translation bit, and are still not sure how to translate a comment thread when Comment 1 is in Language A, and Comments 2 and 3 are in Languages B and C.

@JSengupta-WMF - for the second use case, when a user has an active block, I'm not sure if we should hide or disable the "New block" button. Please advise

For my understanding, is there a global precedent or pattern that we should use, or do we need to write in the logic for every table, etc?

@CCiufo-WMF @NBaca-WMF - it feels like this happens in Codex and normal wiki tables. We were proposing to adjust the bg of a table, so the content doesn't bleed behind the z-index, but I wonder if this is a fix at the platform level instead of a singular patch for commtech's use case.

Hey @Samwilson it sounds like there are some open questions, dependencies, or decisions needed to keep working on this task. Last I remember, we had a patch for review, and we were able to move forward. Did I misunderstand?

Icon colors: Show color for active blocks only, when there is at least 1 block. Rename suppressed blocks to "Suppressed block log," and use the clock icon

@GMikesell-WMF - AC2 is OK by me. I think the fuzzy search is useful.
Update: since we cannot reliably place server messages contextually to specific form fields, we are going to remove this task and put it in our backlog.

A few thoughts here.
I think it's OK to scroll in to the top of the page. When a username or IP address is typed in, don't we populate the data to see if there are active blocks?

Is this suggesting an admin can search a block via blockID?
@MusikAnimal just so I understand the scope of this task... It sounds like this represents the need for an admin to edit or modify an existing block. The use case is that an admin looks up a username and IP address, and then clicks a button, which loads the existing block, which could be updated?

This proposal makes sense without "codexifying" it.

@Theklan - we've explored the newcomer use case as well on a few different paths.
CommTech is planning to address some of this with Favorite Templates

Hey @ovasileva @Jdlrobson this is a seemingly smaller wish and would be impactful to making iterative and responsive progress via the Wishlist. Any way to prioritize it in the next 1-2 months?

@MusikAnimal could you share why we need to throttle the API requests? What are the potential states that you're suggesting we need?
