Big Thanks - Masculine

Masculine cards are the assignment at Alphabet Challenge Blog. I find I struggle with masculine cards, likely because I'm drawn to the bright rainbow hues. Although, what guy doesn't like a rainbow?

For my card today, I decided to try to stick to true masculine, and I found myself drawn to a not-so-cute pattern paper from an old Halloween paper pack.

This was a Halloween pack from Authentique. The patterns were just perfect for masculine. In fact, any of these would make a great tie (just saying).

The lettering from Catherine Pooler Designs also is great for a masculine card.

Kept it simple . . . hope you find a way to keep it simple.

Cheers!

Debbie

Lifesaver . . . for Stamp Ink Paper

The sketch challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper had me interested, so I pulled out an old kit from Simon Say Stamp an got busy.

I flipped the sketch, and dragged my circle off the page, but tried to keep the overall layout of the sketch.  I adore that hanging lifesaver!

You can check out the sketch below.

I hope you find some time to create today.

The Stockings Were Hung . . .

I created today's card based on the color inspiration from The Paper Players, and used dies and stamps from The Stamps of Life. The stocking pieces were cut with dies from various patterns of paper.

I  pieced these stocking dies together, and I love the shadows created from popping the individual pieces.

Feels great to be creating again.  Looking forward to the weekend which will hopefully present some time to create.

Cheers!  Now go create something fabulous.
