As internet plays major role in our daily life worldwide, specially online shopping of clothing products, which has gained popularity over the last two decades in comparison to street boutiques. Present study was undertaken to understand the impact of growing online shopping trends and comparison between eboutique and street boutiques. 100 respondents between the age group of 18-25 years of both the sexes from Indore, with different backgrounds were surveyed. The outcome of the study reveals that the impact of eboutique is more in comparison to the street boutique, due to easy online transaction, price range below Rs-2000/ for casual wear and couture wear is also available on economic price with wide cost range, discount benefit, easy exchange offers. These factors are motivating young costumers towards online purchasing.

Indian handicrafts are unique expressions of a particular culture or community through local craftsmanship and materials. With increasing globalization, however, products are becoming more and more contemporized and artisans find their products competing with goods from all over the world. This kind of demand regarding a product and change its style, design and color creates a great threat for the producer artisans and push these conventional handmade products out, replacing them with mass factory made, machine crafts [1]. Though the Indian traditional crafts based on skills, has been transformed from generation to generation and many of them are still making their livelihood dependent on the indigenous modes of production, traditional skills and techniques to manufacture products.

This research paper aims to preserve the intricate traditions and unique skills of Kashmiri traditional crafts by creating a comprehensive knowledge bank. The project aims to ensure continuity, appreciation, and innovation in these crafts, as the essence of craftsmanship is at risk of being lost due to globalization and modernization. The documentation will provide craftspeople, researchers, and enthusiasts with a resource to explore the subtleties of conventional techniques, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the craft. The transfer of skills through this documentation will enable new students to carry forward the legacy. Traditional crafts extend beyond artistic endeavors and are vital components of a community's cultural heritage. The documented knowledge and techniques serve as inspiration for modern artists, designers, and artisans, stimulating innovative and environmentally friendly adaptations. The project aims to celebrate the works of artisans, pay tribute to their craft, and ensure the legacy of traditional crafts in Kashmir is preserved for future generations. By sharing this comprehensive documentation, the project aims to encourage renewed interest, inspire innovation, and contribute to the sustainable development of traditional crafts worldwide.

Design/Methodology/Approach: This study is based on a review of the literature and takes a case study approach. The study aims to suggest interventions as bridge between designers and craft persons to enhance and expand the craft vocabulary and reviving dying craft tradition and opening new avenues in the global market.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce 'upcycling'a well-known term within design practiceto the field of social innovation. A mix between 'upgrading' (adding value) and 'recycling' (reusing) creates the word upcycling, which, in its simplest terms, is the practice of reassessing waste and transforming it into something valuable. In this paper, we ask: How does an upcycle mind-set and practice contribute to situated social innovation? This conceptual paper seeks to combine insights from the fields of social innovation and co-design with the ideas inherent in upcycling. To ground the theorizing of what we term 'social upcycling', four cases are used to illustrate what upcycling practices look like. The cases illustrate the diversity of actors, activities and materiality involved in social upcycling processes. Concluding, the paper outlines a new promising area of social innovation and some practical implications.

During pandemic everything was on halt. After lockdown was over in partial manner economy started moving along with online shopping and people started buying the product virtually rather than traditional forum of shopping. This attracted the attention of companies, scholars and market enthusiasts towards it. Pattachitra is an ancient art form of Orissa and Bengal the paintings of pattachitra are based on Hindu mythology and inspired by Jagannath. The paintings of patachitrapatachitra are resemblance from the old murals from the religious centres of PuriKonark and Bhubaneswar region dating back to the 5 th century. The art form is appreciated by art lovers all over the world for its effortless style of drawings and space line usage. The artists are called 'patuas'. These songs are known as "Pater gaan" the songs range from traditional mythological tales and tribal rituals to stories based on modern Indian history. This art form is mainly practiced by the painter community who emphasizes on the narration and ornamentation of figure drawings of god and goddesses in vegetable and mineral dyes. Primary colors are used in "Pattachitra", whereas other shades are obtained by mixing primary colors. Themes and motifs of "Pattachitra" are based on Indian mythology, usually depicts the narrations inspired by rituals. Men & women both are engaged in the preparation of these scrolls. The present study has been done to document the fading magnificent colorful painted Indian traditional textile in its original form. To understand the journey of this painted textile dated 300 years back to today"s trend. The objective is to document this art form in detail and record colours, motif, tools, equipment"s, and manufacturing process. This study also aims to document the data of traditional practices of natural dyeing/painting. Apart from secondary data, the purposively data regarding the craft was collected from Raghurajpur village, based on observation and interview method. The data pertaining to craft documentation was collected from five craftsmen, who were practicing "Pattachitra" painting in traditional method during the time of data collection. "Pattachitra" popularly known as pata or pat, done on thinly woven cotton cloth, has undergone through few deviation in themes, colours and technique used.
