Gabrielle Saran on Instagram: "Variation of Rowing Back flat back. Here the legs are on the outsides of shoulder blocks. This position may feel better than legs between shoulder blocks to a lot of us. You can also use your adductors when you reach the arms overhead by squeezing the shoulder blocks. This will help you stay connected to your lower body as you perform the hardest part of the move.  I also added a posterior shoulder pull before starting the whole sequence again. This classic pilates exercise is an amazing stretch. I like putting some variations to this by adjusting the springs. 👇

•1 heavy and 1 light spring, if I want to use more balance, control and work my core muscles harder. 
•2 heavy springs I feel more of a stretch in my hamstrings, glutes and lumbar spine as I come out of the stretch.

Tips to keep your body safe
 -
•As you pike the body up to the shoulder girdle try to carefully not rest on the cervical spine (your neck😳). Its easy to do, your trying to create length in the body with that pike up. 
•reach through the arms in both directions of the stretch I find it helps creating the lengthening feeling.
