Baby Blog
I've had some requests to start a baby blog - it's kind of funny, I kind of feel like I don't know the first thing about what I'm doing, but hey, people have faith in me! Actually, I like the idea, it will be a place for me to update people, to talk about ideas I'm thinking through, and of course there will be some laughter there too. But I'm stuck at the beginning. I don't know where to host it.
Blogger (where I blog now) is so popular, that all the best names are gone already, but WordPress, where I can get loads of names, doesn't allow funky widgets, which means that I cannot put this up there, and it is so cute:
So, what do I do?
Personally I think Blogger should delete any blogs which have never had a post added to them, people have just registered the name and got bored before starting, and delete any which have not been updated in 3 years. I think that is fair - they need to release the names back to the public to use.
I'm probably going to go with WordPress, the name is more important than the widget.

How about Typeset? I don't personally know how to use it but lots of cool blogs I read are done with it. They look great. Here is Suzie's from Sydney that I love (she lived in Tokyo)...

ps... My security word is mingsa - looks like minger!
Obviously I meant typepad not typeset...
Hey Anna...I started a blog when there were just 3 of us....but when our 2nd bub came along I had to start another as the previous blog name didnt include her (I didnt think!!)....so you might want to think about whether the blog will continue once the bub is born & be an on going blog for life....or just a pregnancy blog. Sarah :)
wordpress is opensource so you can definitely add any widget you can in blogger it is just set up for more websavie developer geeks so not so simple to use. - I would say why not just keep the blog in your current one as everyone knows it and checks it - no need for a new one.
I agree - no reason to open a new blog!
I'm looking forward to formulating a range of jokes based on your maiden name as the pregnancy progresses.
That widget is so cute!!
Stay here - sounds simple! (and Scott please be kind HA HA)
It doesn't matter where you post, just do it, the days are a-wasting. I want more details damnit!
I agree with Del!!
Just use your current blog - keep it simple. Gordon Ramsay told his son that his widget wouldn't grow unless he ate his vegies!
Love JEG
