I love the new colors of cardstock that Stampin'Up! has come out with....I heard alot of moans and groans about all the retired colors, but you just "gotta" love these new ones.....this one is daffodil delight...heck just the name alone draws my atttention! The designer paper I used is the new Gala Greenhouse...the entire pack of paper is beautiful, I cut around some of the flowers on one of the designs....the butterfly is the SU butterfly punch...I stamped with daffodil ink on white cardstock, then punched it out, the stamp set for the butterfly is a level one hostess set called Punch Potpourri...the ribbon used is also Daffodil Delight...I finished the inside of the card as well...the sentiment I stamped with the new SU Early Espresso...funny but I always used Choclate Chip, then they came out with Soft Suede, so I was always grabbing for that, now I find myself using the Espresso all the time....see ya later!!

Sweet Sixteen Sparkle Tag~Crepe Paper At The Forum
This tag serves as double purpose~my last crepe paper post at the "Forum".....next month we will have a new theme.....check us out.......I am using this tag for my sweet 16 grandaughters birthday...she is the one in pink...such a beauty. I gathered 8 layers of ruffles using some Jenni Bowlin crepe paper ribbon, the bottom layer has polka dots on it. The background of the tag is a ribbed vellum which doesn't show up much in the pic.....I had fun using the crepe paper, and will find more uses for it later.

Hot & Cold A Bit of a Drastic Difference!!!!
I am a little bit unavailable today, so this is a "prepost".....thought I would share a bit of the winter we had, for all of us (me in particular) that have been complaining about all the heat. This should do one of two things...either cool you off...or make you happy you have the heat instead of this mess...brrr.
The flowers are the "hot" part...could not have this beauty without it...these "pretties" are poppies from my gardens this year........hope you enjoy the photos!!!!! Remember for a better view, you can always click on a photo to make it bigger!!

Pink Heaven Trumpet Lilies~Plant for Hope
I purchased these lily bulbs this Spring at Walmart for $5.......WOW.....it has to be the best $5 I have spent on bulbs in a long time...these are stunning...they smell so strong...about 5 times more powerful then an Easter Lily...I was afraid the deer would smell them and eat them all up!! For every package you bought of the Pink Heaven ,30 cents was donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.....a plant for Hope!! It's hard to describe the size, but each lily was 6" long and about as wide.....I will be looking for more of these....just had to share the beauty of these!!!

A busy week so far, had a friend over on Tuesday...we made 14 baby shower invites...they turned out so cute....and guess what...I didn't take any pictures!! Yesterday I had a luncheon for my sister's birthday...the menu was all new items I never made before...fun, but a bit scarey too, as you never know if you will like them or not....lemon chicken salad...yum......fresh baked herb rolls....not only yummy, but easy.....a zuchinni and fresh tomato tart...mmmmm.....little tropical crescent cookies and a black bottom strawberry cheese pie with whipped cream...double yum!! I might post the recipes later.....no pics of them either....darn!!
Good thing I had these cards ready to post..hopefully can back into more "creating" soon......all 3 of these cards were made with bits of "scrap" I had stuck in that neverending drawer I mentioned in a previous post!...all simple...but I like how they turned out...well have to run...another busy day for me...ugh!!

More Scrap Cards~3 & 4
Two more of my Sunday's "scrap day" cards.....these two feature 2 pieces of Stampin' Up!'s Designer paper...small scraps that I knew would be perfect just as they were for a "later use'......the paper with the roses...well, that is my all time favorite...its a pack of paper that I had ordered 2 of, and not much left but this small piece!!
The "flamingo" card is a bright "fun" card!!! The cardstock used is again the new SU Poppy Parade...this color just makes me so happy!! The flower is one I inked with the Poppy Parade ink......thats it ...more tomorrow!!!

One & Two of "Scrap" Cards
I made 7 cards last night...oh yes, you heard me right...SEVEN...I have a drawer right under my table, its rather deep, and its full to the top of bits and pieces of paper that I set aside for the "perfect" card later.....the drawer also has stamped images, die cuts, just about anything I did and never finished or just wasn't "happy" with at the time!
I pulled out enough"pieces" to make at least a dozen cards.....so for the next few days, that will pretty much be what I will be showing.

First card is using SU's big Medllion stamp, it was already stamped in Baja Breeze and cut out, the butterfly is cut using the SU Sizzix Beautiful Butterfly Bigz die...it was just laying in that drawer ready to "take flight"!! The background of the card is simply embossed with one of my new SU favorites "vintage wallpaper" embossing folder.....I love how you can quickly "pump" a card up a notch with an embossing folder.
The second card is using bits and pieces of Designer Paper scraps...I just cut them into various rectangles and triangles, notice the stitching??.....compliments of my sewing machine.
Quick and easy cards, but yet so beau-ti-ful!!!! I will be back tomorrow with two more of my "scrap cards"...see you then!!

Scalloped Punch Cards & Peace!!
While cruising thru my NEW Stampin' Up catalog I noticed some neat flowers with scalloped edges......I figured they must of been made with the scallop edge punch.... grabbed some paper and gave it a whirl! The first flower I did, I did from memory of the picture and I thought they had scored inbetween each scallop and then down the center of each scallop, before I did the second flower, I looked at the photo again, and noticed they only scored inbetween...NOT in the centers...and it was much less work, and much less folding doing it that way, and I actually like the smaller flower better with the less folds!
First flower I used some paper.... 12 x 12.... that I have had for quite awhile, cut a strip, scored and folded...a fast card, that looks so pretty!!

Second card I used some retired SU Designer paper, cut the strip more narrow then the first flower, I also used the paper and cut a strip of a banner ...I have been seeing these various little banners on other blogs and really like them! For the card itself, I used my new SU In Color Poppy Parade...wow...do I LOVE this new color!!
Last card was for a granddaughters birthday...she is in love with anything with a peace sign, I purchased this paper and stickers about 3 months ago...her birthday was yesterday, and I put the card together yesterday...see how I am...always putting pressure on myself!!
Thats it for today I think...unless I do some challenges...I appreciate the nice comments!!!

There's A New Kid On The Block~Or Should I Say Blog!!
There is a new Challenge Blog called "More Paper Than Shoes".......the first challenge is for the month of July to make a tag...add some vintage....add a stamp that is popped up.....easy peasy!! Because its July~because its almost July 4th~because I LOVE making tags~and because I LOVE my Freedom~I chose to make a 4th of July tag.
I cut two different size stars with my Cricut....covered the bottom one with vintage music, stamped with TH Distress Ink on the second star and added the vintage Bethany Lowe tinsel trim (purchased on Ebay)...its a smaller tag......but I love it just the same! Go visit this neat new blog and give the challenge a try.......there also is a new forum in the works.....I'll post the link for that soon...you will LOVE it......new~exciting~and fun!!!
New Month~New Goals~New Card
Happy July One!!!! I am happy to see June behind me, it wasn't the best, so on to a new month...a new month of goals for me.....one is to do at least one scrapbook page a week and finish one a week that I have partly done...that can't be too difficult...we'll see!
Do you have alot of unfinished projects, something you started and it wasn't "going anywhere" so you set it aside to finish later?? I have a drawer full of such things...so this morning as I was working on another project (and set it aside as it wasn't going well...lol)...I decided to open the drawer and pull something out and "finish" it!! I pulled out this card from last year..it has a bunch of layers....I left all sentiments off,so it can be used for any occasion.....one done.....a drawer full to complete!!
