Peace

Ready for another blast from the past? How about this angel from PTI's Love Lives Here: holiday set! I'll be sending her over to the gallery at The Paper Players.

When I saw Stef's sketch, a few ideas popped into my head. Then I remembered the greenery in this set and thought it would be a great substitute for the diagonal portion of her sketch! What do you think?

I pulled out an old Spellbinders label for the rectangle ~ cut from MB paper. Another oldie but a goodie, PTI's Tiny Tags, provided a place for the wee sentiment (Morning Star Stamps). More MB paper in the background just to tie the colors together.

Simple and sweet. Hope you like it!

Thanks

Happy Friday! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Ohio. The hubs spent the morning at Sweet P's school for a Veteran's Day assembly. It's a small gym, so it was veterans only. That's okay, they need those special times together too! Our girl was chosen as one of the students to read a poem to the veterans. She was very excited to surprise her papa! My morning was spent putting this card together for The Flower Challenge

This SB Cosmos panel was already foiled so I grabbed the stencils and got to work! I used warm autumn colors then framed it with this pretty PTI Border Bling die. My favorite Altenew thanks fit perfectly. Easy peasy and I love the way it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #751 ~ Happy Birthday to You

October 31st... where does the time go??!! Your guess is as good as mine. But I do know one thing for sure, it's time for a new Just Us Girls challenge. It's CASE the DT week and Ina is our hostess. Pop over to the blog, pick out who's card you like and CASE it. That's easy enough! Here's my bit of inspiration for you.

I started with a set of flower dies from The Stamp Market. One of those, bought them and they sat on my desk for two months, items... good grief! Then I cut a pretty little Poppystamps bird and added all of those goodies to some postage die cuts. Everything went onto a white embossed panel and card base. A foiled sentiment by Memory Box and a little confetti wrapped things up.

Alrighty, it's your turn! I look forward to seeing your card in our gallery this week. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #742 ~ Life is Beautiful

This is a fun week for us at Just Us Girls. The team is free to design anything we like and your challenge is to CASE one of us. That's easy enough!

I haven' used my PTI Meadow Greens set in a long time. It's always a good fit for a late summer card. I just love the delicate Queen Anne's Lace and pretty leaves it includes. The flowers (they're too pretty to be called a weed!) were stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed in white. Next came the leaves and then I cut the panel with my favorite Mama Elephant cover die. The sentiment, also from the set, was cut with an old Spellbinders label die. A trio of sweet Nordic Butterflies by Poppystamps were cut from vellum and bedazzled with a tiny gem.

Okay, sweet peeps, now it's your turn. Head over tho the Just Us Girls blog and pick out a card to CASE!

Cute Critters for STB#289 & FMS #648

Good Friday evening all. After a morning of shoveling stone into our landscaping, we took the rest of the day off! Well, I did make dinner (salmon and fresh corn on the cob) and we went for a walk. But I did have a bit of relaxing crafty time. I put together this little number for both the Seize the Birthday and Freshly Made Sketches challenges.

These cutie little bears by Mama Elephant always make me smile. I think they fit the cute critters bill that JoAnn has challenged us to at STB. They were stamped then cut with an old Spellbinders postage die. The tiny tag and bow are by PPP and my large postage borders were cut from a PTI frame. I love red and aqua together, how about you?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Just Us Girls #737 ~ Have a Good Day

 Hello friends! It's stencil week at Just Us Girls.

I was in a tropical mood... might want to grab your sunglasses!

She's bright, but I kind of like her! I used a fun tropical stencil by Waffle Flower, cutting the panel down with a PPP banner die. I played around with colors and decided this bright fresh green worked best. It's cut with a Spellbinders hemstitch die. After popping the banner onto the card, I tucked in some coral flowers from Poppystamps, a sweet PPP hummingbird and a sentiment from TSM. What is that, five different companies and they all play well together!

Our stencil challenges are proving to be popular and the team is loving it! Grab one or two from your stash and join us!

Celebrating You

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day to you! I'm sharing a quick post today with my card for The Paper Players challenge. LeAnne picked a lovely color palette that I couldn't pass up! Take a look...

After a long wait of it being out of stock everywhere, I finally got my hands on the pretty Cosmos Backdrop plate and stencils by Spellbinders! My sweet friend Nancy (aka the enabler!!) let me know this could be hot foiled and that's just what I've done here. Once I foiled it with Pewter foil, I was good to go with the stenciling. The light and dark pinks look so pretty on the petals. Two shades of gray were used on the leaves and the darker gray on the sentiment. A sprinkling of sequins and she was good to go! I love the way this turned out!

Thanks for visiting with me today, I appreciate it and you! And thanks to you Darnell for the reminder about your NBUS blog!

A Little Something For You

Snowed in? We have snow, but there was plenty of sunshine to go with it today! It was a good day to get a some crafting in. I put this little number together for the Color Hues challenge where they're looking for copper and green.

I started with a cute little PPP tag cut from copper paper. A pre-foiled sentiment went on next along with a partial circle cut from copper and white paper. All of these items were in a paper pad gifted to me long ago. Next came all of the fun little sprigs and flowers. I guess they're flowers, who knows! Everything came along with my Switch machine with the exception of the pierced leaves. They're by Simply Graphic. The pretty embossed background was a gift from sweet Michele (thanks again xo)!

Off this goes to the gallery.

Thanks for taking the time for a visit!

Hope You're Feeling Better Soon

I took some time today to put together this card for the Color Hues challenge. I had an idea several days ago and finally got to make it happen!

I started with a trio of cute SSS sunflowers that were doubled up. They went onto an old Spellbinders Labels die cut that was embossed with a cute vine folder. The PPP sentiment went onto a smaller version of the label. Pretty vellum die cut leaves from The Stamp Market for the finishing touch!

Off this goes to the gallery. Thanks for taking a peek!

Just Us Girls #702 ~ Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome! Here we are at another Saturday and that means a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Ina has chosen a lovely autumn photo/mood board for your inspiration this week.

As you can see, I was inspired by the leaves and the colors! I stamped layers of leaves (PRS) on a white panel then die cut it with a Spellbinders Hemstitch die. Yes, I finally got my hands on this die set! I found the perfect butterscotchy plaid paper in my stash to add another layer of prettiness. My sentiment is by SSS. I like the way this one turned out!

I hope I've inspired you to join us this week.

Leaves, colors or both... it's up to you!

Thanks

Hello lovelies! I took advantage of a drizzly gloomy day to make a couple of cards. I'll be sharing this one over at The Flower Challenge. They're celebrating their 7th Birthday! This is my thank you to Aileen and Viv for all of the hard work they put into this challenge over the years. Thanks ever so much, ladies!

I was a lucky winner of an Altenew gift certificate recently. This Golden Days stencil set came home to live with me! This set creates one big bloom. I went off the edge on a white panel using warm October colors and then debossed it with another favorite Altenew product. Next, I die cut the panel using an ancient Spellbinders labels set. This gorgeous thanks die is also Altenew.

Off this goes to the birthday gallery!

Just Us Girls #692 ~ Hi

It's word week at Just Us Girls. Lisa K. is our hostess and she's picked the perfect summer word for us ~ Bee! I have a little cutie who's buzzing by to say hi!

He's part of the Garden Bugs set by Purple Onion Designs. Isn't he adorable! I stenciled some clouds on a little scrap of white, stamped the bee then framed him with a PPP Polaroid die. I thought the fun striped sentiment and whimsical blooms were a good match.

The DT and our August GD, Greta have some terrific inspiration for you. We sure hope you'll join us this week. It should be a honey of a gallery!

Adventure Awaits

Bobby has a fun challenge for us this week at Just Us Girls.
So many options in those photos!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My eyes fell upon the map when I first saw the photos. The map paper I used has a fun texture to it. After adding the shaker element, I topped it off with a sentiment from the same paper pad and a few die cut sprigs. The little compass is an oldie but goodie from DeNami.
Alrighty, what direction will this challenge take you?
Wherever you end up, I'm sure we'll love it!
For You With Love
It's color week at Just Us Girls where yours truly is hosting! Kraft and white are always wonderful together. Throw in a little pink, even better! I hope you'll join us and our February guest designer, Karen Walker.
A friend (thanks Mari!) recently gifted me an Altenew gift certificate as a get well wish following my hand surgery. I bought a couple of pretty mini bundles. This darling Magnolia Heart was one of them. My coloring could be better in those itty bitty flowers. Gripping the Copic is still a bit tricky, but I'm getting there!
I layered the hearts on my favorite PTI tag. That pretty pink embossed paper was a treat in my birthday card from sweet Michele. Next came the panel cut from a delightful SSS cover plate and finally a pretty little bow (TSM) cut from patterned paper.
I hope I've inspired you to play along!
I look forward to seeing what's in our gallery this week!
Thank You
Hello and Happy New Year! I'm rolling out my first card post thumb surgery. Things are getting better. Still working on movement and strength. I thought going the route of die cuts and letting the electric machine do the work was the way to go. But then I had to glue all the pieces parts together! Couldn't squeeze the glue bottle, so I had to go lefty. Let's just say it took a LONG TIME to put this baby together! Oh, and then I had to try to photograph it with the hubs heavy camera ~ holy smokes! I sure hope the ladies at Color Hues like it!
I treated myself to this pretty set of peony dies from a Birch Press Design sale for Christmas. They were cut from paper with a soft pink pattern on it. I love the leaves and centers all dolled up in gold! I used matching gold paper on the PFS frame. The embossed panel is from my sweet friend Greta. A simple sentiment went onto an old Spellbinders label. My hubby thought it was a classy card!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back this weekend with my card for Just Us Girls. We've switched things up in our weekly rotation by swapping out a couple of a challenges for couple of new ones!
A Little Silliness
What a fun challenge Carol has for us this week!
It pushed me out of my comfort zone and into this little bit of silliness for our Just Us Girls challenge!
My card base was made using an old Spellbinders Labels die. The silly chicks and patterned papers are all leftovers from The 12 Kits of Occasions. These were also cut with the label die then added to the card front. That wee bit of strawberry paper (so pretty!) was glued on and hand trimmed. The sentiment was just the right size to fit the PPP label die. If you look closely, you'll see the score line at the top to make the card easy to open.
Okay, put on those thinking caps and have some fun!
Love You!
Hey there! It's time for another Just Us Girls challenge! Sue is our hostess this week and she is challenging us to make our own stencils using die cuts. I took the opportunity to make a valentine card for my parents!
I die cut a piece of packaging cardboard with an Avery Elle polka dot cover plate. Using PTI's Lavender Moon ink, I stenciled a large SB label. The white heart was decorated with stenciled leaves made from a PTI sweet celebrations die. The flowers are die cuts from the same set. I used the smaller one to stencil the red flower centers in. The love you sentiment is from my Sweet Pea stamp set. I like the way this turned out and I think my mom and dad will too!
These are the dies I used.
Okay, your turn! I'm looking forward to our gallery this week!
Inspired By #196C ~ Neighbor Tag
Hi friends! We have a new challenge for you today at Inspired By! I was inspired by the cute houses, their decorations and those peppermint stripes! Here's what I came up with.
I've used one of my first PTI set ~ Love Lives Here, a very old HA snowflake, equally old SB postage die and yes... my new sentiments from The Greetery! I'm determined to revisit my older stamp sets and vast supply of 6x6 paper pads. I think it's working and I'm enjoying it!
I hope I've inspired you to join us this week. Need a bit more of a nudge? Let's go see what the team has to share!
Greetings of the Season
The Flower Challenge is celebrating their 5th birthday! Heck yeah, I'm down for that party!  They're asking us to use a shape along with our flowers. Here we go...
I used the Altenew Poinsettia 3D dies I bought after the holidays last year. For their debut, I used Pale Peony cardstock (PTI) then brushed on a darker pink ink here and there. My shape comes in the form of an old Spellbinders label die. The pretty greenery and berries are also Altenew (Poinsettia & Pine), the sentiment is PTI. I added some glitter at the last minute for glitz. It IS a party after all!
I love the way this turned out and my in house critic gave it two thumbs up with a beautiful thrown in! Shhh, don't tell... he always loves my pink cards!
Thank you to The Flower Challenge for 5 wonderful years!
Here's to many more!
Inspired By #182 ~ MIC.KEY m.o.u.s.e
Hey there, are you ready to put on your mouse ears and get crafty with us as Inspired By? I had so much fun making my card, lets get right to it!
Ta -dah! See what I mean, it just make me happy! I used two circle dies to create my Mickey. After he was cut out, I dry embossed the panel with polka dots then put together the shaker (PPP fillings). Even his SB bow tie has dots on it! The little wish upon a star is PTI.
Remember that we now have a Christmas inspiration photo for you along with our regular prompt or there's a sketch. Your choice!  You can check them out over at IB along with all of the inspiration from the amazing DT! Thanks for stopping by today!
