DAY 17- 31 Days of Halloween: Deadly Sins ATC

Hello everyone, welcome back. My project today is an ATC card. I didn't get to finish the other project that I am working on, so I thought I'd make a quickie ATC to share with you while the other is in the works.

I started with a label off of one of my fave wines- it's called 7 Deadly Zins and the label is just, well, pretty cool looking. I used that as my background. I distressed it a bit, and then I stamped part of the frame from one of the As Death stamps (Smeared Ink) onto the left hand side.

My main image is also from As Death, and I colored slightly and added a jeweled eye to him. Then I attached, outlined, and distressed him slightly as well. I added shadows all around the ATC, and the final touch was adding the word "sins". I almost added more, like ribbon and a skull charm that I have, but it took away rather than added to the overall effect, so I left them off.

I hope you like him even though he's a quickie! I will probably be sharing another simple one with you tomorrow because we will be gone all day today...I am taking the kids to the Boo Zoo event at our local zoo, it's supposed to be a fun spooky event for the little ones. So, I won't have much time to create today.

Just a reminder, today is the last day for Smeared Ink's Halloween Hysteria Sale, so if you haven't snatched your fave in-stock stamp set for 25% off, you might wanna visit today! Also, don't forget to tune in later to find out the winner of the werewolf digis from yesterday. Have fun hopping through the Wicked Blogs!!!

Day 10- 31 Days of Halloween: BOO! ATC

Hello everybody, welcome back to 31 Days of Halloween. I'm a little frightened because our Mad Scientist is running around on the loose, and he's pretty crazy what with all his freaky experiments! I've told the authorities that I will give them any clues that I come across so they can return him to us, so if you find him lurking about on one of our blogs please let me know by emailing me. We'll be offering up a reward tomorrow of our Mad Scientist single digi to one lucky winner by random drawing.

By the way, to coordinate with the posting deadline of 9 am, I will not be announcing the winners for the hidden prizes until later in the afternoon. That was brought to my attention and I want to be fair, so the winner will be announced separately than my 31 Days post.

On to my project for today... I have to offer you a creppy little ATC that uses the Ghost Grumpie from Creepy Grumpies (Smeared Ink). I started by painting my background, and then embossing my Grumpie onto it in black. I wanted the background to show through since he IS a ghost, so I lightly colored him using my white gel pen.

I them stamped and colored my BOO saying using the Build A Zombie Alphabet (Smeared Ink). I attached them and I added in my little eyelets into the letters. Finally, I mounted on black chipboard, and viola, there ya go!

I hope you're enjoying your 31 Days tour so far this month, and we still have lots up our sleeves, so stay tuned! Have a creepy time hopping today! And BTW, be sure to swing by the forum today, our very own Danielle, who is now our Spotlight Mistress, has posted our first ever Smeared and Smudged Spotlight! She will be interviewing some of our S&S members and featuring them on our new Spotlight page. You can find it here.

My 3-Stamp Project

Ok, as promised, I have finished (finally) my three stamp project from yesterday's end of term hop. If you missed the hop, be sure to scroll down to my post below and visit everyone, all of the projects are EXCELLENT! I know that Tori just posted hers this morning as well, so if you haven't seen it you definitely want to give her a visit.

So, because of my time contraints right now, I decided to make a quickie ATC. The background uses paper from My Mind's Eye, onto which I stamped the spiderweb and "Scream" stamps from Smeared Ink's Lonely Boy and Puff set. I distressed with ink, and then added 3 brads and some glow in the dark puff paint to one of the spiderwebs. (I can't wait to see it glow tonight, and if I can get a good pic, I will share.)

The skull is from our Quoth The Raven set, and he was stamped and shaded with distress ink, and then highlighted with my prismas. He is attached on pop dots. The last stamp I used is from our digital set, Mad Science. It is the quote from Aristotle, and I think it completely encompasses me! Ha ha! I cut each word out, distressed, and attached wonky on the bottom. Finally, I added a jewel to the middle of my glow spiderweb.

So, I hope you enjoyed looking, and be sure to visit on Friday for the begining of 31 Days of Halloween on Smeared and Smudged! We have 16 Wicked Blogs participating this year to bring you a project each day, plus some really amazing sponsors and giveaways all month long! You won't want to miss it!

Dropping the Bomb- Sunless Garden ATC

Lately I've been in a little bit of a slump when it comes to creating. I just haven't had time, and due to some serious personal issues (don't worry, it's all good now!), I've been very lax when it comes to making anything. I've only participated with my Bombshell DT obligations when absolutely neccessary, and unfortunately my beloved Bombshell Stamps have gone untouched for about two months.

Shannon has been absolutely wonderful and supportive, but now that things are getting back to normal I REALLY NEED TO CATCH UP!!! So, with my hubby home and really nothing pressing to do other than a semester exam, I took some time this weekend and made three Bombshell projects that I'll be sharing over the next couple of days. And let me just say, it was exhilarating to sit down and create without any barriers or restrictions. And to think I was debating on ever stamping again... Pshhhhhhhhhhh! As if I could live with that!

Anyway, the first of my projects is an ATC. I know, I don't usually do these, but for some reason after participating in a few of the S&S monthly swaps, they have captured my interest and now I'm in love! I think it's the whole no restrictions thing that I mentioned before. I love when I can just "do" and not worry about following guidelines. I'm sure I'll be making quite a few more ATC's over the next few weeks.

This one features images from the Sacred Heart and Dead Necessities Bombshell sets, and a saying from the Growing Hearts set. It was a blast to make, and I even got a "Wow, that's pretty cool, I REALLY like that one" from my husband, which doesn't happen often. Usually it's a "Yeah, that looks good" or "it's nice", but I think this one just caught his attention.

I started with a background image from Itkupilli, then stamped my saying in white over the background and added some glitter nailpolish accents. The flying skull and sacred heart were stamped on chipboard, cut out, and colored with paint pens, chalks, markers, and nailpolish. I added some broken jewlery to the heart, then they were both attached with pop dots.
Finally, the saying was stamped again on white cardstock using both black and red ink, then I cut out the strips and matted the word that I wanted in red. Then of course I used some distress ink randomly. After doing all that, I decided to add stitching down the sides and in the opposite corners to finish off the ATC.

So, whatcha think? Is it a "Wow, I REALLY like that" or a "that's nice"? For me, it's a winner. I may make it into a magnet so I can look at it all the time, who knows. I hope you enjoyed looking at it and maybe even got some ideas. And please join me tomorrow for another Bombshell project!
