As usual when discussions of new offices comes up, I wonder whether this wouldn't be better served by a semi-open group of people (to use a word applied to recently schedule board meetings) than by a single "co-ordinator".

In the case of chapter interactions in particular, the growth and nuances of chapters will soon scale beyond the ability of a single coordinator to manage -- even before taking language barriers into consideration. A multilingual group of interested people - ombudsmen to the various chapters, almost - including at least one person fluent in each chapter language, is another option to consider. ~Sj

I feel having a co-ordinator of that semi-open group of people could be beneficial. It helps to have a point of contact and someone who take a leadership role in arranging the activities of that group. Angela 20:25, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

I can't argue with this. Co-ordinators, with or without diacritics, are important. However, the group should exist; co-ordinators should not exist in a vacuum. +sj | Translate the Quarto |+

The group exists, it is that formed by the chapters, formed or to be formed. As is stated on the page, the co-ordinator does not take the place of direct contact between the board and chapters or chapters-to-be. should that read

3 months working stake for the bank
