El Rancho Motel
ONE MILE SOUTH OF AMES, IOWA

The El Rancho is gone now. 

Gertrude Chavis built the Motel in 1950 after the the unsolved murder of her husband H.W.Chavis.  Mr Chavis was known as the Corn Canning King of Iowa.  Follow the link below to be informed about the mystery.
