Greetings from FLAGSTAFF

ARIZONA

"Let's go to Flagstaff" was the yell of days of yore, when the cowboys from far and near cattle-camps raced their ponies to town to "drink 'em up and shoot 'em up".  From the "flagstaff" the US. colors waved over the little band of soldiers stationed at the one street settlement composed chiefly of saloons and Chinese restaurants.
The Flagstaff of today is a bustling little city, mecca of summer visitors lured by its marvelous climate.  It is the gateway to the Grand Canyon National Park, many mountain and lake resorts as well as the vast Indian Country.  Lumbering is the chief industry.

Yellowstone is one of America's most famous spots.  Here are the greatest array of geysers and Hot Springs in the world.  Here are wild animals in their native state - Bear, Deer, Elk, Moose, Antelope and many others.  Here are waterfalls and Canyons, beaver colonies and rivers teeming with fish, delightful lakes and massive cliffs.  Here is nature fresh and thrilling to be enjoyed by all.

St. Joseph, Mo. to Sacramento, Calif.
This scene show the dramatic start of the first messenger on that famous route that number among its riders such well known names as Buffalo Bill and Wild Bill Hickok.  The barn is still standing and pointed out as an object of interest.

FAMOUS RANCHES

Sunset on the Desert
Fantastic scenes, mirages, and sunsets of great beauty are rare charms of the desert.  The great variety of cactus shown in this picture are, left to right - the cholla, bisnaga or nigger-head, ocotillo or devil's coach-whip, palmas or prickly pear, giant sahuaro, and at the extreme right the barrel cactus.  All are fortified with thorns as tho for the preservation of their lives - everything on the desert does battle for an existence.

Dear Girls and Boys,
Now isn't he a dream.
If it were not for getting back,
I might ditch Boyd for the duration.
Lodging is reasonable and food is high.
