It must have been the time change but Louis Dean and I BOTH woke up earlier than normal!
By 10:00 we had had our coffee quota as well as our devotions and reading and were off to slay our dragons!
Mine was the dining room wall! I hung 66 things on it! NOT nearly as many as I thought!!
This wall holds many memories from both of our families.
Louis Dean's son above and my family reunion when I was just 7 years old.
Next to that is Louis Dean and his sister, Bobbie and below that is LD with his first guitar that Ellen saved up and bought for him from Montgomery Ward's!
Meet Louis Dean and his family!
Misty (granddaughter), Ellen (his beloved first wife), Corey and Robert, Louis Dean and granddaughter, Chandy. This was taken back in 1996 when they spent the summer in Arkansas.
Only Robert chose to remain in our life together and we treasure him!
We both dearly love our Ruth Ann!
Louis Dean has known her since she was 15 years old!
He loves her with all his heart.
So do I and I have only known her since our marriage in 2005 but she is my very best friend.
So you see....I was compelled to put all our 'history' photos back up on that wall!
There are photos of Louis Dean's mother and father and his beloved mother in law, Ruby Nell.
Photos of me and my sisters and our mother. Photos of relatives - both mine and his.
We look at these photos every single day.
When we married, I told Louis Dean that I regretted us not having 'history' together.
Little did I know that we did! Ruth Ann as well as his son lived within blocks of me!
Louis Dean and his wife visited Irving often!
We are certain our paths must have crossed through the years.
God in his infinite mercy brought us together - he from Brownwood and I in Irving by way of eHarmony.com!
So while I worked inside - HE continued his work on the great sump pump project!
He has dug out a lot of mud dirt!!!
You could bury a body down there!!
It MUST be the time change but Louis Dean has been in bed for awhile and I am ready to follow!
I leave you with this.....
It spoke to me today as I restored our 'Memory Wall.'

Your memory wall is just wonderful. I can understand why you would want to put all of those pictures back up there. It is amazing how people cross our lives. Joe and I feel we must have seen each other in our earlier lives also without knowing each other. The saying at the end of your post really got me to thinking. Thanks for putting it up.
I LOVE that quote. All we really have in this life is memories!
What a beautiful wall filled with so many wonderful memories! Have a beautiful day!

Im pretty sure you and I were making "gallery walls" LONG before they were a 'thing', weren't we?? ha ha LOL Way before they were 'fashionable and trendy'. I have just always been that way.......and I believe our home should tell our story.......and our walls should reflect who/what we are as people and as families......and should tell our stories. Your wall does this. Great job! I just know so many people are horrified at how many things I hang up on the walls.......but that is just who I am. Looks like you are the same way.
LOVED seeing your memory wall Linda. I love old pictures and I love knowing the history of my friends. I think it is so sweet that you embrace Louis Dean's family and that you are not jealous of the years he had with his first wife. You are a person with a Big Heart and it shows.
I LOVE LOVE your memory wall. Old pictures that tell the story of our lives. What a perfect thing to have and look at and enjoy every day. We do have some old photos in my mom's old room [our guest room] and you may have inspired me to get in there and vamp it up a bit. Have a good day!
our memories all reside in photo albums and now in the computer. i smiled when i read 66 items back on the wall. i have 1 on my dining room 2 in kitchen 5 in living room 3 in bedroom and 10 on a wall over my computer. and the 10 would be down but i would have to fix the holes in the room.. i like minimum and you like maximum... oh forgot the dog wall, in kitchen, it has 8 frames of 4 dogs
forgot to say i love that family photo of LD and his family
Linda, I think you and LD were meant to be together. It sure seems that way. I love the quote at the end of this post. Tell LD , he ain't building the Panama Canal...get with it. LOL. I am just kidding, have to tease that guy, he takes it so well. I worked with an old fellow , that if I got to fussy with my job, he would say, "Speed it up, you ain't building a damn piano. " I laugh every time I think of that. I loved those old fellows so much. Like big brothers to me. Blessings to you, I love you guys , Susie
Love your wall and it's history, Linda! I pinned the quote. I hope you both rest after such a laborious Monday.

Your wall is so pretty, labor of love !
Mercy that's a big hole! I bet it will successfully keep the water out of your house though.
Your wall is wonderful!
What a wonderful wall of memories. I am glad you have them all hung because by doing that you really have combined your families and lives. I am sorry that only Robert chose to remain in your lives but I am glad he did.
I am happy FOR you because I know how happy YOU are! xo Diana
You are making history, every day. Your memory wall is really amazing, do you think you needed that wallpaper?! Just kidding, it really looks great....and it's so nice to have those pictures out where everyone can see them, instead of in a book, in a drawer!!
Oooooooh and I love your new header!!
The memory wall is wonderful. What a lot of work taking everything down, wallpapering and then putting it all back. But it's worth it!
I like that quote. I may have to use that one.
That's a deep hole.
I like your memory wall too. I haven't put mine back up at this house and now that we're gonna move again I'm not sure I will
