Up Up and Away

I am going away first thing in the morning for the week to the I.O.W.  I have never been before but I am told it is lovely there.  Just hope the weather is okay and we don't get blown there on the ferry.

I have three Scheduled DT cards set up during the week so I hope Mr Blogger behaves himself and posts them.  Lol!!!

I thought I had better tell you that I am away encase you all wondered why I wasn't commenting on your cards.  It isn't because I don't love you.

Margo's Family - Thinking of You!!!

Morning!!  It is with a very heavy heart that I am posting this card, and I will not be entering this for any Challenges!!  I don't know if any of you saw a footnote that I put on one of my card postings last week?  We had a shock in our block of apartments.  One of our neighbours was found dead in her bed in the morning by our House Manager.  She went in with her pass key when her family and other residents couldn't get her via phone on by knocking on the door or via the Careline intercom.  It was very sad and so unexpected.  We had all seen her on the Monday morning for our usual coffee morning in the residents lounge.  It was only April that I posted her birthday card on here.  I have made this for her family.  I will not be able to go to the funeral as it is Friday next week and I will be still in the I.O.W.

For my card I choose off of the grid to use Doilies - Ribbon - Charm.  That was my choice but I ended up also using Glitter and Flowers with a Pearl in the middle.  Lol!!  I only missed out Buttons and Gems. Lol!!!  At least I did start out doing the right things in line on the grid.  Please tell us which ones you have used.  My image is "Mistletoe" by KennyK.  The dp is "Wish Upon P294 Twinkle" by Kaiser Craft.  The sentiment is from Crafty Ann .  The flowers are "Bristo Blooms Violet" item #553074 Prima Marketing.  I got mine from MY CRAFT HEART .  The ribbon/bell charm and doilies are all from my stash.

Cheryl's 40th

Afternoon folks.  The weather here is horrible again.  Sunny for a very short while but still nippy, now it is teaming of rain again.  My card today I was requested to make for a lady in my apartment block for her Step- Daughter's 40th birthday.  I had a lot of no no's that I could use.  I was not to use lovely ribbon tied in a gorgeous bow, or anything too fancy.  Not even on the box lid. Also not to use anything pink as she hates it.  Nothing too pretty.  After a lot of chatting I was told I could use butterflies if I had too!!!! She is a teacher that was a bit hippy in her youth and still is a bit to a certain extent.  Adores daisies but it had to be the traditional white.  I found this image thank goodness that seemed to fit the bill.
