Six rows are done now for the Broken Star Log Cabin – I might go ahead and stitch this row together before I start the next row. I already moved some blocks around a little bit so the color is good.
Another strip of Noriko’s Star was partially stitched and I will work more on this section today for Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching — Life in Pieces –
And quilting on Scrappy Crossroads on Friday night while I was watching Landman with Billy Bob Thornton (who by the way comes from Arkansas) he is very suited for the role in this series.
More snow pictures- it did get up to 42 degrees so we had some melting start along with the help of Mike moving the truck all over the driveway to break up the snow. I pushed a narrow path clear on the deck to the driveway with the flat bladed shovel. This path had already widen from melting by the end of the day a little bit. The snow is a bit deep around the car though.
The snow on all the vehicles was removed to help with thawing as well. Some of that was from what I cleared of of the roof of the car – 10 inches deep remember!!
The truck should finish melting off today if we need to go anywhere – the roads are clear though – they did it faster than normal it seems.
This part of the yard remains untouched – I could see that the neighborhood dogs had run up on the porch and all over the deck by all the paw prints dragged though the snow – too bad all these unleashed neighborhood dogs that run wild won’t shovel the snow too!!
We had drifts up against some of the trees
It does look so pretty but soon it will be gone – it will be in the 40’s all week and towards the end of the week above freezing at night too.
I’m not sure what all the sales at the affiliates are I just didn’t look but if you are interested or need something feel free to look.
I love your snow photos! We had melting yesterday but still lots of snow in the yard and on our street. We got out yesterday and found that the kids who were rolling huge balls of snow down the street left their biggest one right in the middle of the street, and everyone is having to drive around it (rolling my eyes). It only got down to 34 last night, so we should have a good melt today.
Lots of pretty snow! I enjoyed seeing videos of my grandkids playing in their snow.
Funny but I do not miss the snow. Is 10 inches more than you would normally get at a time when you do get it?
Love the snow photos! I haven’t seen snow for a long time. Surely miss those. Your hexagon rows is looking similar to what I’ll be working on soon too!
I can see the bottom of the star in your log cabin rows! I bet that will look fabulous on the bed with the star right in the center. That was quite the snow you had – hope you can get out and onto the main road when you need to!
