Specifically, the constructivist paradigm of IR opens up the possibility of examining multiple identities of the non-state actors, including the diaspora. The research paper examines the relevance of the social constructivist paradigm in understanding the role of diaspora in general and Indian diaspora in particular. To substantiate the observed characteristics from the constructivist paradigm, the case study of Indian Diaspora in the United States has been analysed critically. The case study provides crucial dimensions associated with the increasing assertiveness of Indian-Americans in the US, thereby revealing the traits associated with the emerging diasporic influence in the hostland.

All political parties have begun prioritising their strategies, which would be showcased through their respective political manifestos. The defeat of BJP in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh assembly elections have created ripples across the country, and it seems that there would be a tough battle amongst the parties in the upcoming elections. Although, there are several issues which would be of vital significance, some of them deserve more attention due to their key role in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Khashoggi, who had self-exiled in 2017 and was living in the United States, was a regular contributor in America’s leading media house, Washington Post, and used to strongly criticise the policies of the powerful crown prince of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman (MBS). His murder is seen as a political conspiracy to silence dissent. Khashoggi’s murder and the deafening silence of the US to pull up Riyadh has once again highlighted the growing intolerance towards those who criticise the establishment in both countries.
