Today I ran two new antlers in glazes I haven’t tried before… The process involves heating a ceramic piece to 1800 degrees in a gas kiln then moving the melting hot sculpture into a closable chamber with combustible materials The flame interacts with the metals in the glazes to create unique one off effects.
