This game was super fun, reminded me of Slay the Spire a ton. I really liked it and it made me think every turn. Great simple deckbuilder roguelike!

I had a fun little run, and the mechanics are quite intuitive once you give it a couple minutes.
I was surprised by the amount of character you managed to squeeze in.
Having an in-game introduction to the game world was very cool.
Very interesting take on the theme with the dice game mechanics.
The graphics and sound were simple but effective and the tutorial was straight forward, did have some trouble with UI with understanding what the item/dice would do, sometimes when hovering it would explain other times it would not.
The difficulty felt good although I beat it on my first try I was close to death a couple of times, I will say once you eliminate the first enemy from a group the battle was very easy, need something to balance that out - don't have suggestions unfortunately.
Thanks for submitting it was fun
Thank you. Yeah the tooltips not always showing up is something I'm working on right now. During the jam I was using the built-in tooltips of Godot, but it seems they don't always work that great.
I also agree that the game overall could use some balancing.
So finally I have enough time to try this out, I really like the whole idea and the choices you provided. The graphics are simple, but I still like the UI layout, feels very intuitive, and I love the node-map that you provided for progression. Are the nodes semi-randomly generated?
I have to point out that after I tried playing for the second time, I got stuck in the very first battle, the end turn button doesn't seem to do anything, doesn't matter if I wait or click it multiple times, even reloading the page did not help, it was stuck again after clicking through the intro. I'm using Chrome, not sure if it matters. I'll revisit later to see if it still persists.
Thank you, the nodes are indeed semi random. There are a total of 4 maps with different layouts. Except for the nodes in the first column and the boss, all the nodes can be either a regular battle, an elite battle, a rest point or an item point, with every type having a weight of how big the chance is that that one is chosen.
Someone else has also reported having trouble with the end turn button, though I haven't been able to replicate it. There's definitely still some bugs in there that need fixing.
Well thought out game and nice progression. I enjoyed the dice mechanic kinda like Farkle or that other dice game where you have to reach a certain number. Good use of sound and UI.
Thank you. I've never heard of Farkle, but I'm going to check it out.
A nice little spire-like with some slick elements. Could see this being a bit addictive especially with more variations in mechanics!
Fun mechanic and good execution. Was fun seeing all the ghost types and the strategy was easy to get into after understanding the UI. Great work
Thank you, glad you had fun. Really glad I had time to add 4 different ghost types, excluding the boss at the end.
I had fun rolling the dice. Too bad I had my dice get stuck twice.
Hmmm, I really need to figure out why that is happening. There's definitely still some bugs in the game that I need to fix.
I defeated Fiona the Spoiled! Honestly at first I thought it seemed kind of boring but during the second battle it really clicked with me and I started seriously enjoying myself! In fact during one of the later battles the “end turn” button broke for a minute and I got really worried that I my run was ruined but it started working again after a kept clicking it hahaha. The art was not the game’s strength but it wasn’t bad. The gameplay was very fun once I got the hang of it! Overall, super solid, polished submission and I hope you’re proud of what you made! :D
Congratulations on defeating the boss. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. With the art I mostly wanted to challenge myself and improve it compared to my last submission, where the art was mostly just rectangles.
Strange that the end turn button stopped working. I've never seen thar happening. There's definitely still some bugs in there that I need to fix.
I just took a look at your last submission and yeah you’ve definitely improved with your art! The art is probably the trickiest thing for me (followed by music). I’m sure with future game jams you’ll continue to improve :D
Thank you. Yeah I haven't even dared to try making my own music. Wouldn't even know how to start.
Bosca Ceoil is a great program to start with, super intuitive! It’s what I first used
Loved it! I watched Vikfro play it in stream and had to try it myself. Addictive and simple. Some of the items/dice were dummy powerful, but it is kinda nice getting to steamroll stuff.
Nice submission :)
Thank you, that's nice to hear. Yeah balancing some of the items and dice is definitely something that I'm going to try to do after the jam.
Great game! I love brutal orchestra so this was a blast! The textbox is nice to look at and i like the enemies sprites. The story is good and the three rerolls were a great strategy mechanic. Good game!
Thank you. I haven't actually played Brutal Orchestra yet, though it has been on my wishlist for a while.
